good for our young age learners
Nice size box, not too large. Lid fastens on tightly. Weight are what I expected. Sturdy for preschoolers. Used it for a simple lesson with preschool age kids. We counted geometric shapes and graphed amounts. Then each child made a hypothesis about which shape would weigh more than another. Each child weighed there shape and added to different graph. The we tested our hypothesis, but with scale and referencing graph.

Great for the classroom!
Wonderful example for the children to learn weights and see and hold them to compare varying weights.

Math really is fun
These weights are attractive and child friendly. We have lots of gram weights in our school but no ounce and pound weights so these will fill that great need. When children can experience a concept, rather than just reading about a comparison on a page, their learning is enhanced and much more fun!

Small set
Does what it needs to do. It weighs, it stacks, it allows kids to have an idea of the weight values. Not quite perfect, because the tolerances are even wider than the metric system, and the set could use some extras. Beyond a ballpark feel for what the weight of 3oz is, I would still recommend the larger metric set, which allows you to do more creative experiments relating a balance scale with an equation. Still, a good addition to our toy chest.

My son loves them!
They are sturdy and stack nicely into the storage container. My son uses them with a balance scale to compare how smaller weights equal 1 larger, or to weigh various items in our home.
