DEWALT has been my go-to brand for power tools for years, and this grinder continues to uphold the company’s reputation for delivering top-notch, durable, and reliable tools.Let’s talk about the performance—this grinder is a powerhouse! With its 8,000 RPM motor, it easily tackles even the toughest cutting and grinding jobs. Whether I’m grinding metal, cutting through concrete, or working on DIY projects, this grinder has the power I need to get the job done efficiently. It doesn’t stall, and it stays cool even after extended use, which is something I really appreciate in a tool.One feature I absolutely love is the Quick-Change Wheel Release. As someone who’s used grinders that require a wrench to change the wheels, I can tell you that this tool-free wheel removal is a game-changer. It makes switching out wheels incredibly easy, saving me so much time and frustration. The tool-free guard adjustment is another convenience that adds to the overall ease of use—no need to struggle with a wrench when adjusting the guard position, which makes it so much quicker to move between tasks.DEWALT also thought about comfort and control with this grinder. The 2-finger trigger switch with the lock-off button makes it easy to activate and provides a more comfortable grip. I especially appreciate the 2-position side handle, which gives me more control and comfort, particularly during longer projects. I can easily switch positions to ensure I’m always in the most ergonomic and efficient stance.I also love that this is a bare-tool model. Since I already have other DEWALT 20V tools, I can use the same batteries, which is both cost-effective and convenient. I don’t have to worry about buying extra batteries or chargers, which is a huge plus in my book.The 4.64-pound weight is just right—not too heavy to make it cumbersome but sturdy enough to give me the balance and control I need. The construction feels solid, and I have no doubt this grinder will hold up for years to come. Love the grindereasy to use, but it comes with NO wrench to take disk on/off.

Great brand. Great price. No cords, so I can use it anywhere...even in a stores parking lot to make things smaller to fit in my vehicle.

I love DeWalt tools. I really do. I think almost every tool I own is a DeWalt. And this is a really good grinder. I wasn't even that irritated that it didn't come with a battery or any blades, because the 20v batteries are so interchangeable. The only issue I have is the extremely short battery life! And I do mean SHORT. A fully charged short pack gives you about 5 minutes of use on this thing. Switched it to the thick pack that I use on my chainsaw and that bumped it up to about 15 minutes or use. If you are a contractor or something other than a home improvement DIY'er, this thing would be a serious disappointment! Everything else about it, I love. The grip, the weight... But man, it sucks the life out of a battery!

The tool's balance is spot on, reducing hand fatigue and making precise work easier. Changing out the wheels is quick and straightforward thanks to the included wrench, which saves time and keeps the workflow smooth.The only slight hiccup I encountered was the battery life. While it’s decent, for more extensive projects, having a backup battery is essential to avoid downtime. But considering the tool's performance, this is a minor trade-off.This angle grinder has become a staple in my toolkit. Whether it’s for heavy-duty cutting or detailed grinding, it delivers reliable power and precision. For any DIYer or professional, it’s a tool that stands up to demanding tasks with ease.

So far just used for twisted wire brush on rust, worked great, with little drain on a generic 4Ah battery. Weight is fine, balance good. I like the hex wrench system for tightening the arbor screw; much more likely to be readily available if the provided wrench is lost or forgotten. 6K RPM's plenty adequate for light to moderate jobs. Tool seems well thought out to me. The complaints about stopping with overheating and binding are a little hard to understand given that these are built in safety and longevity features thoroughly covered in the instructions. This is not equal to a plug in tool, as is true of all battery powered tools. I expect if a constant heavy load is put on it the battery will run down quickly, and the motor is likely to overheat given the constraints of battery powered tools. Just physics, folks. If you want 10K+ RPM and ability to do constant heavy cutting or grinding, use something with a cord!

This DEWALT grinder feels solid and handles different materials well. The 20V battery provides enough power for most jobs, and it’s easy to control. The tool-free guard adjustment is useful for quick changes. Works well for grinding and cutting without any issues.
