Quality product
High quality, well made product.Works exactly as advertised. Just follow the installation instructions and you should have no problems. I have it on a 25' pole illuminating a 3X5 flag. Remember though, its an accent light that meets the requirement tha an American flag be illuminated at night. Its not designed to light up your front yard. It does look a little like a ufo hovering when its really dark.I paired it with the Xtremepower US flag pole kit. Fits perfectly with no modifications.4 U.S. Code § 6 - Time and occasions for display(a) It is the universal custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset on buildings and on stationary flagstaffs in the open. However, when a patriotic effect is desired, the flag may be displayed 24 hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours of darkness.4 U.S. Code § 8 - Respect for flagNo disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.(b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.(c) The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker’s desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.(e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.(f) The flag should never be used as a covering for a ceiling.(g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.(h) The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything.(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.(j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.

Hoist an American Flag Pole with this light!
I recently hoisted a 20’ flag pole in my front yard. I came across this unit, of course looking for the best product for the lowest dollar. There was some pretty decent reviews so I decided to try out this light. I am impressed with the amount of light and the duration through the night. It is summand the days are longer but no issue keeping Ol Glory lit up until day break. We will see how it does in the winter months. Now with my flag pole, the bolt size from the ball into the truck is a smaller diameter and the way my truck is set up cause a small issue but was easily fixed. There is a set screw in the top of the truck on a 45 degree angle to hold against the bolt from the ball in place so it doesn’t back itself out. Well the thickness of the light and the bold diameter being smaller the set screw was an issue. I thought I had everything buttoned up but after a week or 2 I noticed the light was a bit off and would wobble a bit. So I broke down the pole to check out the issue. It has been more than just windy lately and everything kind of loosened up. Well once the pole was down I noticed the set screw had the light tilted just a bit. So I headed into the shop to find some type of spacer and washer to make a gap between the set screw and the light itself. I found something suitable and tightened everything back up with the light sitting proper without and tilt in one direction and hoisted back up.This issue is not any wrong doing of the product and I only say this to share what I ran into and what I did to rectify the issue. The light is bright and definitely lights up the flag. The only thing is at night while the wind blows and the flag is stretched out flying beautifully, the light doesn’t quite illuminate the entire flag. You can certainly see the flag but it only actually puts light on somewhere between half and 3/4s of the length of the flag. I have a 20’ pole with a 3x5’ flag. Now the light does site right above the flag and if it were a bit higher I assume it would put light all the way across the length.I will add the light on top of the 20’ flag pole does illuminate the ground below along with the pole all the way down and as the flag is at rest it does a great job. It does a great job either way, I’m not bashing this light and I am pleased with this product. In fact I will be picking up another for my neighbor and helping him put his fathers flag pole back in use after years of giving him a hard time for not doing so. I did fell the need to mention this because one night I looked up to admire the flag as the wind picked up and notice the aforementioned.I would recommend this product to anyone in need of illuminating their flag at night. I will add that I’ve gotten many thumbs up, salutes, and been complimented by more than I thought. In these recent times, no matter what, I am proud as I can be to be an American and felt this could raise the moral of our neighborhood and bring hope in the time of unknown. This light has helped do so from the reaction of our community.
