Clarathon HCD-55 Spa Ozonator Kit: Hi-Output Ozone Generator for Hot Tubs & Swim Spas - Universal: 120V / 240V

My hot tub is small, and it was hard to find a mounting place, but it seems to work well.

I've had a hot tub for about 20 years. When I purchased it, the installer talked me into installing an ozone generator (at an extra charge naturally). My tub always uses about 1 bromide tablet every 3-4 days. I always thought the Ozone Generator was a bunch of hooey and after the 20 years I have to say I even forgot it was under there. This past year I couldn't figure out why I was having to put in 2 bromide tablets every other day to keep my tub from getting foamy. I replaced my filters thinking that was the issue...not the problem. I opened my tub up and found the ozone generator light was out. That was supposed to indicate that it wasn't working. Still not believing such a simple device could be the problem, I splurged and purchased this new one and installed it. VOILA !! my tub is back to using 1 bromide tablet every 3-4 days. Unbelievable !! Have you seen the price of bromide tablets these days !!!

Never produced visible bubbles. Died within 24 hours. Total junk. Amazon did not immediately offer a solution or a refund. Do not buy

This ozone generator works great! The connector was the perfect match to plug into my hot tub controller. The device is a little bigger than the old one that came installed in my hot tub so I had to modify the wooden structure a little bit so it would fit into the tub enclosure but that was not the fault of the ozone generator; it was the way my tub was built. Once I got everything put together, the blast of ozone bubbles coming out of the heater jet was even better than the original ozone generator.

Easily installed and works perfectly with Balboa control.

This was an easy install and the unit worked without a hitch.

I looked at the seller's website and read up on it. If needed, they have adapters for other types of controls. I have a Balboa spa control and it plugged right in. I bought this to replace an ozonator that had reached the end of its life. There was already a venturi ozone injector in place and so I just needed to mount the unit and connect the hoses. Some water got into the hose loops after the one way check valve and I could see that the ozone was getting pulled past it, even on the slow pump speed. When I open the spa cover, I can smell the ozone which quickly goes away. I am happy with it and I would buy it again. The seller offers support if needed. I didn't. The diagram shown is easy to follow.

I had started a return on this ozonator because I thought it was not working, but Amie at Spa Depot messaged me and after a few messages helped me diagnose my issue as a plugged up check valve. I replaced the valve and it all works now. Great service.
