A Must Have for Copy Editors, Proofreaders, Academics
As a professional writer, proofreader, and copy editor, The Chicago Manuel of Study Guidelines (Quick Study) is a tri-fold glossy with doubled sided detailed information and is the first step in reviewing any CMOS questions. It is a necessary tool of the trade to ensure the nuanced style is accurate as I review academic and scholarly manuscripts, capstones, and other extended pieces of work. This style manual should be in every home office. I highly recommend

Handy and Helpful
Love this little study guide! It summarizes all the key points of the Chicago Manual into a nifty, durable to-go guide. I keep mine right at my desk. It's so much easier to reference than to lug out the huge 4th edition textbook! It includes all the main points of questions: capitalization, tricky words, and yes, those dreaded commas. I always feel prepared with this guide by my side!

Great quick study guide
I’m a lawyer and I have to do quite a bit of writing. I still struggle with capitalization rules and some grammatical rules, and really like having this as a resource to make sure I am doing things correctly. I’ve also found this is a great resource for formatting and setting up your legal brief or manuscript to read easily. The lamination is thick and it is sturdy. I have put it in my backpack and subjected it to pretty heavy use, and have not had any issues with it creasing. If you are looking for a quick resource for your writing I would recommend this

Useful but ...
Pros:As you probably know, the actual book of the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) is HUGE (over 1,000 pages). So, it's not always easy to find information you need and it's always hard to find it quickly. This 6 page (3 pages double-sided) "cheatsheet" allows us to locate essential information quickly.Cons:My complaint is that about one page worth of space is "wasted" on information that is not specific to the CMOS. The section on "Tricky Words" explains common word usage errors (e.g., affect vs. effect). I'm sure it could be helpful for some people, but it's not specific to the CMOS. I think a half of a page for this kind of information is a waste in a 6 page reference guide. There's another section "An Introduction to Grammar," where the author explains different types of nouns (e.g., count noun vs. mass noun). 1/3 of a page "wasted" in my opinion.

So helpful
I needed an easy-to-carry, quick guide that I could just get the basics from instead of the whole huge book. This little gem is light weight, and packs all of the most important information needed instead of having to lug around yet another weighty book in your bag.

Great quick reference
I'm currently getting my MBA and this chart has been super handy when I've been writing papers and citing sources! Great refresher on Chicago Style.

Quick Reference
This is a very quick and easy reference to have for common questions. Basically, it's six pages (front and back) laminated, punched, and folded so that it can be placed in a binder. Two whole pages are dedicated to citations: footnotes, bibliographies, etc. The rest addresses tricky situations like gender neutrality and oft-confused words. The font is small but not unreadable. The layout is easy to navigate. There's a lot of information but it's not overwhelming. I bought this for myself, but it will be good for the children as they go through primary and secondary school.
