Easy to use but can't yet report on its effectiveness
This sceptic tank treatment was highly recommended to me and after the last time I had my tank pumped, I wanted to try something because the build up at the bottom of the tank was a large solid mass. I have been using this for several years now, but have not yet pump the tank since starting to use it. Therefore, I can't state how effective it is in the tank itself. It is relatively easy to use. I appreciate it being granules and not liquid. I wouldn't say its sent it pleasurable but not terribly bad and once it flushed down the toilet, I don't detect any residual sent from it.

Works on Dog Area
I have a large(ish) pea gravel dog area - 10' x 20' - and use a hose end sprayer with bleach to sanitize it. A couple of times per year, however, I sprinkle the septic tank treatment over the gravel and water it in. It actually does a better job than the bleach and typically lasts longer in keeping odors down. I like the Roebic granular over the typical granular packets because it is a bit bulkier and thus easier to spread over the area.

Be using almost 20 yrs. Never had a problem. Will continue to use as directed for as long as i have a septic tank. Highly recommended

Better than Green Pig et al.
These guys have been around for a lot of years and have been involved in numerous municipal projects. They probably have a budget to conduct real R&D, and that's more than most of the competition can say. So, instead of bugging the folks at your local hardware store about something with an underwater fuse, you could splash some of this in. Just give it time to work. You might even get regular deliveries on an Amazon subscription and become a bit more proactive. This has worked well for us.

Look out mine leaked at seal
Like the product but package leaked and scattered it in the area I was keeping it. It had not yet been opened by me so seal at top leaked. Very difficult to clean up. Prefer the liquid product although price was better
