My fav for an easy tightline
Let me start by saying that I am in no way great at applying makeup. This is the easiest method I have found for applying eyeliner for a tightline up to a dramatic look. I've tried a few liquid eye liner pens and always come back to this. I have purchased this multiple times and will continue to do so. I use a wet brush to apply it on my top lid and I use a dry brush for my bottom lash line. I will wet the brush first before and glide it a little or continue to dab it on a wet spot of the pallet and that seems to work perfect for me. I'm not even sure if that's the recommended way but it's what I do. It's a smooth line. It dries relatively quickly and only smudges if you are trying to do that. I've not had any irritation. The color is a true jet black.

The best cake eyeliner since Clinique
As other reviewers have said, I too had used Clinique cake eyeliner for decades and panicked when it was discontinued. I tried this brand which is reasonably priced with the attitude of what do I have to lose? It does not come with a brush so I found one on Amazon (of course) that is perfect! I just used this eyeliner yesterday and it was not only easy to apply but stayed on all day into the evening—I am doing the happy dance!!The brush I found was also perfect and part of the reason the eyeliner was so easy to apply. Just dip brush in water and mix in, repeating enough times for desired consistency.

good but arrived with a portion broken
I have used this before and like the product. This time it arrived with a small portion broken off but not worth sending back. Hopefully this one will be as good as the first one I used.

Impressive cake liner
I’ve been searching for a good replacement for the brand I’ve know and loved that stopped making cake liner. This is hands down the best I’ve found so far. Vibrant color, smudge proof and long lasting!!! In love all over again.

Very LIGHT brown!
This liner is very light. I had to order black and mix for the right color.

Don't buy this eyeliner
The best water resistant cake eyeliner I ever found was Clinque. Of course, they stopped making it. Big mistake in my opinion. I bought this eyeliner after reading the reviews. I like an eyeliner I can control. It goes on way too dark. If you try and take some of it off it smears. I like a more natural look. Trust me, I have tried every eyeliner out there. I will be returning this.

Cake Eyeliner is the Best - and it lasts forever
All the really positive reviews seems to be from women of "a certain age" that used cake eyeliner back in the day and are so delighted to find it that they are overwhelmed with happiness. That's me - so this review is for the people who are just trying cake eyeliner for the first time as it is the most wonderful product ever!Color. Some people complain it is too light or too dark. YOU ADD WATER! If you want it light add a lot, if you want it dark add a little. When you first open the package you have to add more water than you normally would to get the correct consistency as it is usually a bit powdery, but after a couple of days you can monitor the water easily. Try using some kind of dropper for the water (you need very little). I keep the water in an old eye drop bottle, so it is easy to just use the one or two drops of water. Some people wet the bush, but that has never worked for me. I put the water onto the cake and make a paste with the dry brush.Brush. This particular liner didn't come with a brush, but I have bought it in the past where it came with little brushes. Throw them away - you need a longer brush as you have to rest your hand on your cheek to get a smooth line. You don't need an expensive brush but you do need a fine brush. One of the reviews suggested a paint brush, which I thought was a good idea, but it was far to hard and scraped my eyelid. An expensive paint brush might work - but why bother. You don't need an expensive brush. The last one I bought I bought at the dollar store (after looking in Sephora and finding the cheapest eyeliner brush which was the right shape was over $20), and it is great. Unfortunately it was the last package and the brushes will not last as long as the eyeliner so if you see a good deal get more than one.Longevity. Cake eyeliner lasts for a long long time (years). It is not surprising the companies that used to make it no longer make it as it lasts and lasts and lasts. In the early 00's I found four Fran Wilson cake eyeliners in a close out store. I was already panicking at that time as you couldn't buy cake eyeliner in the stores. I bought all four and am just finishing the fourth one now 14-15 years later. So spend all the time you need experimenting with the amount of water you need, and how to use it - you will have plenty of eyeliner left.
