Metaltech Guardrail Set for Multipurpose 6-Ft. Baker Style Scaffold - Model# I-CISGR

Every tool or piece of equipment can be improved on. Overall this Guardrail is a very safe piece of equipment. Other reviews go into it being wobbly, the box was beaten up on delivery etc. This is a solid guardrail. Design to support you and give you a border of how far to lean. Work inside the guardrail and don't lean on it anymore then you have to. Supplement it other safety equipment like a harness with D rings and you will be safe. Don't work up off the floor if your not in good shape with go balance. I find most of the reviews are stupid and made by picky people that have no business doing work on a ladder or lift. This is a great professional guardrail.

Fits on top of my scaffolding very well (Husky and Metaltech fit together, Werner and another brand at Home Depot and Lows do not).It is a little rickety when coming in and out, but once the door is closed, it is pretty sturdy. It'd be great to be able to use two or three sides in some cases, but that can't be done safely with this unit.This whole scaffolding method is expensive, and maybe I should have gone the more typical contractor route, as these aren't made to be outdoors (despite the product description; customer service says, "You shouldn't expose these materials to the elements: heat, cold, water, ice or snow. You should bring them back inside every night" The paint has been flaking off, but other than that, it has been good.I now own four levels of platforms, for a double-wide double-tall platforms, or four levels high (I have the long stabilizer bars).

I love that I can safely use my scaffold without feat of falling off. Easy to install. However it does have a slight slop to which I fixed with pieces of wood. I feel this better than having it so tight as to render it useless. Safety concerns me and this guardrail makes it safe to use the scaffold.

Northern Tool Company was excellent! There were issues with UPS shipping...damaged in shipment and they did not inform us. When I contacted Northern Tool, they handled the situation immediately and we received our replacement. Guardrail is easy to attach to scaffolding and, with gates at both ends, makes getting in and out quite handy. My husband definitely feels more secure and safe. Thanks!

Saved our behinds when we doubled the scaffolding while enclosing our patio. Without this guardrail, I can assure you the safety factor would have quadrupled. Easy to install, it's a MUST if you have a single scaffolding unit set high, or have 2 units stacked. Arrived in perfect condition, and we saved on shipping through Amazon vs. ordering direct from Northern Tool. A HUGE plus for the size and weight of this set.

I'm a 50 something year-old woman. I bought the base originally from my local Lowes, thinking it would be great to use to clean my patio ceiling (tongue & groove boards). I couldn't do it - I was almost as nervous as on a regular ladder. Ordered the guardrail on-line. What a difference! I feel comfortable on the platform now. I like that the side doors swing in. I wish I would have had this many years ago, as I can think of many projects that would have been made easier.The only negative thing I could say is that the guardrail could fit a bit tighter into the base.All in all, it's wonderful.

Arrived with parts missing: no toggle pins or bolts to secure the railing to the scaffold.

Some people say it doesn't fit properly that it is to lose. I purchased one and it fits like a glove very happy with the construction and the price
