Osprey Levity 45 Men's Ultralight Backpacking Backpack

Guess I'll ruin their marketing slogan and add a picture. This pack is amazing. It's extremely light but has an effective frame. I have used it on a few hikes now ranging from 5 to 11 miles a day and 5 nights. Pack weight between 20-30lbs and this thing is extremely comfortable throughout that entire range.My base weight is 13-14lbs depending where I'm going but there's not a lot of water sources where I've gone recently so I've taken 3-4L of water on most trips weighing 8.5lbs itself. I'm definitely not an "ultralight" guy, I love my luxury ounces, but I'm very weight conscious.I do not understand all the complaints about waist belt pockets.... Do your pants not have pockets? Get pants with pockets....The adjustments are perfect, straps are perfect, sweat control is perfect, exterior pockets are large and allow you to easily get your water bottle and put it back without taking off the pack... Has just enough organization for someone like me who likes to group items.Only thing I'd change is color options. I'd like the men's available in the girl's teal or give us a tan and brown version.

Tried a couple other Osprey packs, including the Exos 48. This one is incredibly light and minimalist. Instead of hip pockets, I stashed my iPhone in the rear reach-around side pocket. No issues, there.In Nepal, it was perfect fit for trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Stayed in the tea houses, each night, so packed a light bag, but included heavy charging brick and media junk for two of us. Met a Nepalese guy on the way back. He asked "how heavy is you bag?" Lifted it and said: "too heavy." Yep, I over packed. Much less, next time.Meanwhile, at 1.85 lbs, is light enough to serve as a hydration pack. Sure, you could save a .75 lbs with a Scarable 18, but given that 2 L of water weighs 4.5 lbs, seems down in the noise. Plus, super comfy hip belt and air flow to keep my back cool. So, am using this on the trails in California. Dual purpose; one less bag to keep track of.

So I’m not a big backpacker, but I’ve had need of one on occasion. There are several things about this that I like; the light color, the back vents, and the storage capabilities. But there’s a lot of extra cords in various places, and I have no idea what their purpose is. I’m sure it’s mean to secure things, but it doesn’t seem readily obvious as to how. This is also described as a men’s backpack, but I was hoping it would be more unisex. That isn’t the case if you’re a busty woman, as the chest strap REALLY compresses that area. I even adjusted the height, and it was better, but not great. The hip strap and supports are nice, but I haven’t had a chance to test out their weight redistribution properties. The side pocket access is nice, but is a bit awkward to get into. Not impossible, but not something you could easily do in a hurry. Overall, I think it’s a solid well-made pack that will suit the needs of my family well, even if we might not always understand how everything works.

This review is for the Levity 60. This pack is amazingly light weight and is designed for weekend camping or for ultra-light longer camping. Like all Osprey packs, it does an amazing job of distributing weight on your body so that whatever you put in it, it will feel lighter than it is. We already own an Osprey Atmos pack which is a workhorse with lots of zipper pockets and belt pockets, etc. It is a pack mule and is made to hold loads of weight. The Levity is made to be light weight—it weighs just under 2 pounds empty—and has one zipper pocket. There is absolutely nothing extra on this pack and it is made to hold much less weight—10-25 pounds is my understanding. As such, it is fantastic for overnight or weekends, but even then for the camper who travels light. Some purists may get under that weight for longer hikes, but it isn’t for everybody. If ultra light is how you travel, this is definitely an amazing pack. Both my husband and I love it!

My daughter is in Scouts BSA (formerly Boy Scouts. Yes, they let girls in now, and she LOVES it. She's learning outdoor skills and leadership skills and more.)Oops, got off track. ;)She's hoping to do one of the intense outdoor experiences that BSA offers, and she also does frequent short campouts. We got her this pack knowing it'll be great for a longer experience or a long hike.This is an awesome backpack. It's big but SO light. It's got all sorts of features. I'll let the photos speak for themselves for most of these.I particularly like the way the frame keeps the backpack away from the back, with mesh in between. I think this'll help her stay cool on long hikes. I also like how the main compartment is made to close tightly, with the drawstring locking in place.It says it's a men's backpack, but she's got a small women's frame, and she says it feels like it fits.

When going for backpacking/hiking, one needs a backpack that is lightweight, is spacious, can hold a lot of things and has multiple pockets. And this bag fits the bill. The fabric of the bag is also very good. And it’s very easy to carry. Even filled and heavy, it won’t hurt back when carried for long durations.Also, it can be used as a regular backpack as well (that is what I do).It’s a bit pricey (and that is why 4 stars only). But I like it.

Love this pack, I went from the osprey Exos to the Levity, and it's great! This is definitely a smaller backpacking bag, make sure you have your base weight down and things organized. I'm at about 10lbs dry, and that's about perfect for this bag. Wet I'm running closer to 20-25lbs depending on distance and time spent, and I don't think I'd push more weight than that. If you're closer to 25-35lbs wet, I would probably carry the Exos instead. The bag carries great though, I believe osprey has the most comfortable packs and the levity is no exception. I really can't think of anything I would change on the pack, it's really well thought out and well built. They even upgraded the pull string clasp on top to make that pesky drawstring easier to work! No complaints from me, it's not the lightest pack on the market, but honestly it carries way better than a lot of competitors do, at least in my opinion.

Ich habe mir den Levity 45 für den Portugiesischen Jakobsweg geholt. Wir sind rund 300km gelaufen.Ich hab mich wegen dem niedrigen Gewicht von 800gr und dem Mesch im Rücken für ihn entschieden. Und mein Kumpel mit dem ich gelaufen bin hat sich den gleichen geholt. Wir haben beide Trinksysteme gehabt. Er eine Flasche isoliert in einer Außentasche und ich eine Blase innen. Wir waren beide jeder für sich sehr zufrieden damit.Ich hab mich für die 2L Vaude entschieden, da die auch eine dichte trennbare Schlauchverbindung hat und hier in der Nähe das Vaude Outlet ist.Ich hab mir an die genialen Seiteneingriffe der Seitentaschen eine ca. 10-15cm lange Schnur rangemachtSo konnte ich mit der einen Hand die Tasche aufziehen und mit der anderen Hand reingreifen ohne den Rucksack abnehmen zu müssen. Das war sehr praktisch. Außerdem habe ich mir eine 1L Zugband Tasche vorne fest rangemacht. Da hatte ich meine Brille drin, Tempo und einen kleinen Geldbeutel. Leider hat der Levity keine Hüftgurttaschen, die Fototasche hatte ich bei den kleinen Wanderungen zur Vorbereitung an dem Hüftgurt durchgeführt und mit kleinen Karabinern und Schlaufen befestigt. Aber am Jakobsweg hatte ichmeine Fototasche an einem Stretch Hosen Gürtel, das ging besser und der Foto blieb am Mann wenn der Levity für eine kühle Cerveza parkte. Leider hat sich bei einem Träger eine Naht aufgelöst. Wenn es so bleibt stört mich das aber nicht sehr. Ich hatte ein paar Exped und Osprey Packtaschen- säcke für die Ordnung innen. Ich hab mich da immer für die leichteren bei gleichem Volumen entschieden. Wenn alles drin war konnte man mit den Zickzack Schnüren den Rucksack sehr gut komprimieren damit das Gewicht körpernah mit kleinerem Hebel nicht zu sehr nach unten zieht. In den Seitentaschen kann die Zickzack Schnur beim blind suchen aber auch im Weg sein. Hat mich aber nicht gestört. Ich hatte mir aus einer alten Jacke den Gummizug hinten unten am Levity befestigt und dann dort meine Stöcke jederzeit griffbereit. In der oberen Deckeltasche hatte ich mein Ausweis und Sachen die mir wichtig waren. Am Anfang wollte ich da ein kleines Schloss ranmachen. Hab mich dann aber wegen dem Gewicht für einen kleinen mini doppel Karabiner entschieden, den man mit einem kleinen Plastikteil in der Mitte, dass man um 90Grad dreht, verriegelt.Ich kann den Levity sehr empfehlen. In einer Seitentasche war mein 99gr. Regenschirm, wenn es mal nur etwas leicht regnete, da musste nicht gleich alles in die Hülle. Und in der anderen die Sonnencreme und ein paar Naschereien.Ich hatte ohne Wasser nicht ganz 7kg auf dem Rücken und würde am liebsten morgen wieder los...

La leggerezza è la sua caratteristica peculiare ma non è la sola. Si adatta perfettamente alla schiena tale da risultare perfettamente ergonomico. Pur sembrando minimale ha ottimo carico utile e "non si sente" il peso. Consigli altissimo per chi desidera uno zaino al top come tutti gli osprey

Erkläre ich euch gerne.Ich bin gerne mal auf Mehrtageswanderungen unterwegs und mein Rucksack muss dabei Schlafsack, Isomatte, Kochzuberhör, Kleidung, Wasser und was man sonst noch braucht, fassen können. Ja es gibt Rucksäcke für weniger Geld mit mehr Fassungsvermögen. Der Clou beim Levity ist aber, dass er nur einen Bruchteil von anderen Rucksäcken wiegt, denn gerade am Rucksack könnt ihr viel Gewicht bei eurer Ausrüstung einsparen. Wenn ihr also gerade den passenden Rucksack für eure erste große Tour sucht, dann vertraut mir, Gewicht ist es woran ihr sparen wollt, denn wer weniger trägt kann leichter und weiter laufen.Zum vergleich: mein alter Rucksack hatte 55Kg Fassungsvermögen und hat sage und schreibe 2,4Kg leer gewogen. Der Levity wiegt rund 0,8Kg. Okay auch hier könnte man sagen: "Es gibt auch anderen Rucksäcke die sehr leicht sind und Platz bieten." Ja, stimmt aaaber die haben wohl kein so geniales Tragesystem. Der Levity fühlt sich auf dem Rücken wie ein weiche Umarmung an und verteilt die Last sehr gut auf Hüfte und Schulter. Andere Ultraleicht Rucksäcke sind hier weniger Komfortabel und haben z.B. gar kein festes Rückenteil die dem Rucksack Form und Stabilität geben.Der Fairness halber muss ich sagen, dass ich meine Komplette Ausrüstung auf Ultraleicht umgestellt habe und damit auch Volumen der Ausrüstung reduziert wurde und mir 45l Fassungsvermögen ausreichen. Wer Schlafsack und Isomatte in einer sperrigeren Ausführung bereits besitzt und sich zunächst nur einen neuen Rucksack für längere Wanderungen zulegen möchte, der sollte zu der 60L Version greifen.Ein Manko gibt es dann doch noch, denn trotz der guten Verarbeitung, geht das Geringe Gewicht des Rucksacks auf Kosten sein Robustheit. Das Hauptfach ist aus sehr dünnen Stoff wird aber zu 3/4 von Außen durch stabileren Stoff umrahmt, wie ihr es auf den Bildern sehen könnt. Ihr müsst ihn also nicht wie ein rohes Ei behandeln, solltet aber im Umgang etwas mehr Vorsicht walten lassen als bei Modellen die aus groben Cordura gefertigt sind.Fazit:Wenn ihr einen Rucksack wollt, der Bequem sitzt, extrem leicht ist sowie Platz für die Ausrüstung mehrerer Tage bietet, dann habt ihr hier genau was ihr sucht.

ウルトラライトエアスピードサスペンションはエクソスに搭載されたシステムを軽量化したもの。通気性を確保しながら抜群のフィット感がある。生地自体の撥水性が高いのでレインカバーを使わなくても内部の個別防水でかなり対応できそう。サイドポケットは背負ったままのアクセスも良好で使いやすい。ガレージメーカーのULザックでお馴染みの大容量のフロントポケットはヘルメットなど何でも飲み込んでくれる。しかもネットではないので引っ掛けもない。雨蓋やフロントにあるループで荷物の追加もしやすい。容量は４５Ｌであるが収納力は６０Ｌクラスと変わらないので３シーズンの２～３日のテント泊であれば十分である。価格は正直高い。ナノフライファブリックの耐久性も未知数である。しかしロストアローのアフターサービスのレベルの高さを考えれば破れた場合の修理の心配も少ないし、同クラスのザックに比べて数百ｇの重量差はお金を掛けて軽量化した装備の収納では大きなアドバンテージとなる。スピードハイクというより体力が落ちた中高年のテント泊にお勧めである。なお身長174ｃｍの私にはＭサイズがジャストフィットであった。
