Cheap, healthy snacks/meals in 20 minutes with little to no effort
I’m of that age where I find buying kitchen gadgets exciting (yes I know that’s pretty sad but whatever...) but I handn’t considered a soup maker until one of my wife’s friends recommended one to her. We are starting the new year health kick so this arrives in our kitchen with perfect timing. I’ve used it three times already and I am very impressed with the outcome. It could not be simpler to use, chuck in the ingredients, turn it on and wait around 20 minutes and you get perfect hot soup at the end. The big supermarkets all have “soup packs” in at the moment, Tesco has ones which are actually the right size/weight for this maker (around 700g) so you literally empty the bag in, add water and two stock cubes and job done.Cleaning is not the hardest but you really have to be careful with the electrical contacts (but no more so than a plug-in kettle - this is essentially a large kettle with a built in blender). There’s some real paranoia on some of the reviews over the electrical contacts, they really aren’t that scary. The contacts which join the blender to the main body are protected with little rubber caps and the lower “kettle lead” socket is as I said above no different to a kettle. To wash mine I’ve just been filling it with hot water and a little washing up liquid, leaving it for 10 minutes then wiping with a sponge scoured, rinsing and drying - it’s not that hard (but granted is more difficult than making the soup ironically).

Great soup maker!
I read a lot of reviews before buying this soup maker and I was a little nervous after reading about soup burning onto the bottom of other makes and models which couldn’t be removed and them stopping working altogether. This one had the best reviews and was a good price. Used it for the first time today following one of the recipes from the book that came with it - French pistou. It was really easy to set going, only a few buttons to pick from, and nothing burned to the bottom. Easy to clean as well. I like that the blades are metal so there is not plastic heating up within the soup and leaching anything. It made enough for 4 bowls and smelled delicious when it was cooking.I’m sure this will be in regular use while on extended working from home. I have resigned myself, based on other soup maker reviews, to this (Unfortunately!) being a disposable bit of kit, that doesn’t have a long shelf life but hopefully I’ll be proved wrong! It does have a 2 year warranty if you register it with the manufacturer. Will update this in the future if there are any problems.

Love My Soup Maker!
I am so pleased with this purchase. Had been humming and harring over a soup maker for ages, having previously been quite happy to use my big stock pot on the hob then blend with a stick blender, but finally gave in after hearing so many rave reviews from friends and colleagues. I have definitely been converted! This is possibly the best kitchen gadget I have ever owned and I am having lots of fun trying new recipes from the fantastic Liana's soup maker recipe book (also available from Amazon). There is a vast selection of soup makers to choose from, which I found quite bewildering at first, finally plumping for this one at a reduced price. It is so easy to use, makes four good sized portions (would probably stretch to five servings) and is nice and easy to clean afterwards. If you are considering a purchase I would definitely recommend this one.

clean straight away.
Love the soup this appliance makes . It is so quick and easy but why can't they make a removable inner jug to make cleaning easier. I have found it is best to clean the jug out before any soup dries on, ie as soon as it has finished.

Great product - makes lovely soup fast!
This is a great product. It's been easy to use and makes lovely smooth soups within 20 minutes. It is quite easy to clean too but I make sure I rinse it out straight after use. I have followed the recommendation to put some stock in first before the veg and I've not had anything stick. I would just point out that there is a minimum (1.3 litre) and a maximum (1.6 litre) fill level (to ensure the blender works properly.) So consider the amount you want to make before purchasing i.e. the smaller version might be more appropriate. I tend to freeze some of what I make otherwise my son and I would be eating it all week! My elderly parents have opted for the smaller version.

A must
Couple of years back, we bought one. This was a second buy a s gift as we can vouch for this brilliant product. Just put in what ever you have left on the fridge, that small bit of courgette, that solitary potato, that half of chicken breast, the last bit of sweet corn, a bit of red lentil.. in it goes, switch it on and go get ready for office. When you come down the aroma wafting from kitchen will make you really go for it. Superb way to make soup, so easy, just let your imagination let loose . You will be amazed how you never thought about it. Buy it on sale...guaranteed to impress you. A healthy start at home, by you, you know what went inn and ideal way to use that half of chopped veggie you weren't sure what to do with!! Flavousr will amaze you so season the soup in moderation please..

Super easy to use
I bought this soup maker as an easy way to get real, nutritious food down the hatch. I was finding that tinned soup was too salty and watery and I wanted to make my own thicker soups full of stuff I could pick myself. You can literally just bung in your uncooked ingredients and 21 minutes later it has cooked and blended it for you into hot soup.It looks like a giant kettle with a blending blade attached to the lid. I mostly use tinned veg, chickpeas, potatoes, cooked chicken etc, put it all in, (recommend you chop it up into little pieces first to make it easier to cook and blend), put the lid on, select whether you want it smooth or chunky and press start. The chunky setting just cooks it all, and the smooth setting automatically blends it up for you aswell. There is a blending option only if you want to manually blend. It beeps when finished (after 21 or so mins). I pour it into plastic tubs and freeze for easy reheatable meals. Really is that simple.
