WiFi Range seems more limited
Nice Form factor allowing second wall outlet plug to still be usable...some of these WiFi plugs are so large they take up enough space to warrant the second wall socket not very usable...these ones are smaller and gave me no issues.....they synced well with their Smart Life app and also with Alexa...but there is more of a delay with these units responding to and confirming an Alexa command than I have seen with other competing units. I've noticed this delay mostly from units located further from the wifi source...it seems as they get further away from a strong wifi signal they start having trouble communicating their true on/off status with Alexa...and at times fail to respond to Alexa completely...even though they do continue to respond correctly to the Smart Life app...weird. I have several similar units from Etekcity and they exhibit none of the issues these ZOOZEE units had from the very same more remote locations. I now use the ZOOZEE ones closer to the router and the Etekcity ones from further away and that seems to work fine...just suspect something about their WiFi or Smart Life to Alexa handshake is a bit inferior...they do cost less so maybe I should have expected that slight step down.

Using this product requires transmission of personal data to China!
I was shocked when the user agreement includes the transmission of personal data to the PRC (China) and is controlled under Chinese law.

Never forget to turn a light off again!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I bought these to use with my christmas lights, I have a split level home and I sometimes forget or am to lazy to walk down 2 flights of stairs to unplug my christmas lights. NEVER AGAIN! I have these plugged into all of my lights and set a schedule for my light to automatically turn off and on at a certain time. I also can use these plugs during the off season for some lamps I have and its super convenient that I can use my voice with my amazon alexa to turn them off. The only gripe I have is that you can only use 1 per outlet because they are so big, other then that they are great.

Works perfectly, easy to setup, & the price was right!!
For years I'm used the plugin dial timers for our Christmas lights & candles in the windows but I've never been happy w/ them. If you want to turn them on w/o messing up the timer that's easy but if you want to turn them off early, it's a whole issue. Inevitably, the all end up off from one another & it seems like I'm always battling w/ them.Over the summer I upgraded our home wifi to the Amplifi HD system so our coverage is GREAT. At the same time I added a FireTV Cube (Alexa speaker) in the kitchen. With this in mind, upgrading to smart outlets was a no brainer so I picked up 12 & left the timers in the attic.Setup was super easy. I installed the "Smart Life" app on my phone & created a free account. When you plug the smart outlet in it's already flashing in discovery mode. (if not you just hold in the button for 5 secs) you go to the app, click the "+", & let it search for a new "electrical outlet". As long as you are within wifi range the phone finds it, tells the device your wifi password, and adds the device to the app. You name it whatever you want. Keep going till you've installed them all.You could be done at this point. the app will let you turn any of the lights on / off. you can use the app to create "scenes" which means you are grouping devices so you can turn them on/off together. You can also setup "automation" which lets you set timers. If I didn't have the FireTV Cube I would have went that way but instead I handled all the grouping & timers in Alexa.Assuming you already have an Alexa speaker setup & have the Alexa app installed on your phone, it's real easy too. Open the Alexa app, go to "skills", & search for "Smart Life". Install the skill & it will ask you to log into your Smart Life account. After that go to the Devices tab in the Alexa app & click the "+". Choose "Add Device", for type choose "Plug", and for brand choose "Other". Then it searches for devices & imported all the devices I setup in the Smart Life app. Once it's done, you can ask Alexa to turn any of them on/off. To make it more handy on the "Devices" tab you can click "Groups" and lump several plugs together. For me I lumped the smart plugs I was using for the windowsill candles together & made a 2nd group for all the indoor Christmas lights. Now I can just ask Alexa to turn on all Christmas lights or turn off all candles... but wait, there's more. Setting a timer was a awkward but now that I know how, it's not bad. (Honestly, you can probably just ask Alexa to create it but I didn't try.) On the Alexa app "Things to Try" page you'll find "routines". Click "Create a routine" and then the "+". On the following page next to "When This Happens" click "+" again. Choose "schedule" and now you can set a timer to turn lights or groups of lights on/off.I'M THRILLED! Alexa, turn on Christmas lights. Alexa turn off Gold Christmas tree. Alexa, turn off candles. Alexa order more of these smart plugs for my folks.NOTE: You can still use the 2nd port on the wall receptacle but there isn't enough room for a 2nd smart outlet. If you'll need 2 different smart outlets at 1 location you better get a double. if they can both be switched together, just get a small extension cord that allows more than 1 item to be plugged in.

All-Around Good Experience
They work well, the instructions were understandable, the price was okay, of course I always want things cheaper... :) Supplier contacted me to offer help and included an FAQ. I didn't need it because I was able to figure everything out, but I was still glad they made the effort. They didn't even beg for feedback, so I am giving them some, anyway. Very happy!
