Feeling hot from 'limited breeze' is a lot better than feeling the heat from direct sun. 1) This hat is effective at blocking the sun however, the material is not breathable so it's often a lot cooler with the hat off than on. Also, the neck shield feels a bit uncomfortable especially if it blows onto and sticks on your wet skin. Otherwise, the neck shield flaps a little while running and that keeps the neck cool. 2)The material doesn't have 'anti-microbial' properties so it needs to be washed regularly to keep it from smelling.

This was purchased for a gentleman who had ear surgery. This was purchased as much for his physical health, as it was for his dignity. I had made purchase of this item for whenever he, and his wife, travel south for the summer. (It has a shade, in the back, which will protect him from UV rays.)

For me, this hat is perfect. Most importantly, is the ability to ventilate well, while at the same time offering protection from the heat of the Southern California desert heat. I've tried numerous hiker hats over several years and I've very satisfied.

Perfect for rowing!!! Will buy another if it ever wears out.Also, it floats.

Great hat overall. Lightweight, breathable, dries fast, awesome for very hot climates.I like that the neck cover is removable.My biggest complaint is the giant annoying tag on the hat. You have to perform a make shift home surgery to remove the tag without damaging the hat. That will cost them 1 star. I don't even know why clothing companies still put those big ass tags that no customer cares for.

These hats are legit! I'm a window cleaner so I wear these everyday to protect my neck from the sun.

Fits perfect and you can adjust it. Love it and still wearing it!
