Great Radio, included earbuds suck
Great Radios, the longer flexible antennas seem to work better and are at least more convenient for when trying to put the radios in a pocket or bag. The earpieces that came with them were total crap though. The soft sponge cover that came with them ripped as soon as I tried to install them and then once i gave up on that I plugged the earpieces in and neither worked.

UV-5R in a different case
Good, just keep in mind this is not the GT-3TP. That radio looks just like this, but it is not... this is just a UV-5R in a different case for more money. I gave 4 stars because you might as well just buy a cheaper, regular UV-5r

Missing Display Segments, Ok to use for a hike and or mall.
One of the radios has a defective LCD, segments missing also I've notice a 3 cm hair sticking out in the plastic LCD assembly.Price is good for two radios, I've tested the transmission range using VHF and it reached only 2.2 miles which was better than the cobra radios I had in the past. FM feature is great, scan works great, easy to use the only issue I had was that I had mistaken select the reset option and the radio set back to Chinese.

Junk, won't receive if you turn the annoying beep-beep off. The antenna is worthless too.
Firmware N5R-20 and N5R-30 on these radios have a bug that won't receive anything when the annoying beep from every keypress is turned off. Workaround is to live with the beep-beep, well, sorry I paid for these radios and it is unacceptable they have a bug like that. On top of that the firmware overall is really buggy too, the radio will shut the backlight but won't come back on when you press any button, you have to power-cycle the radio to get your backlight back on... junk.As an owner (and user) of two older GT-3 (311 firmware) purchased a few months ago, I say either find an older GT-3 or get something else. Avoid these new Mark 2 like the plague; they are cheaper than the original GT-3 for a reason. I also did put the "new and improved" antenna on my analyzer and they are total junk. SWR on UHF 440-460 MHz is always above 5.0, and on VHF the best is about 2.5 at 148. The Return Loss best value of this antenna is 9db: garbage compared to the amazon special made by ExpertPower.

Great radios!
Got the radios in 2 days as specified so shipping was great. So far the radios work great the only problem I've had so far is the antenna sleeve on 1 radio came loose which was my fault, but it's an easy fix with a new antenna other then that I'm happy the fm radio works great and the range is awesome I work on big boats soy guys are able to communicate with me while I'm on the dock with no problems or interference! Great radios so far happy customer I would definitely buy here again!

Still learning the radios and programming but very happy overall for my first Ham radios
Still learning the radios and programming but very happy overall for my first Ham radios. Programming took a bit. I didn't waste my time using the supplied programming disk as there are easier to find downloads online for these. Same as the UV5R. After getting first radio programmed, the second one took seconds. Still waiting on license so haven't been able to TX yet. Will report back when I'm able to fully use them

Once that problem was discovered and solved (with some mechanical manipulation) they both great. Be sure the get the programming
Purchased a pair for the family. One had an antenna connection problem that significantly impacted the range. Once that problem was discovered and solved (with some mechanical manipulation) they both great. Be sure the get the programming cable and used free open source software to program them. The FM radio (which allows you to monitor two channels while listening and LED light are both handy.) Keep in mind you will need a ~90$ FCC GMRS or pass tests for a HAM licence to operate these legally in the USA.
