The local shop wanted $90 for their battery plus install charge. This one arrived in 3 days and was easy to install with the included tools- they made getting the case off easy. The old battery would not hold a charge more than 3 hours. I did install the battery wrong by not making one of the connections solid so the tablet wouldn't turn on. The tablet would make a dull beep every 8 seconds and the charge light would come on for 2 seconds, then repeat this sequence. I repeated this, alternating installing the old battery with the new battery three times. For unknown reason I put the old battery back in three times correctly and the new one incorrectly three times. After doing this I wrote a bad review- one star. Just before going to bed I tried the new battery one more time and it worked. The tablet came on and the charge symbol showed 50% charge. Charged it to 100% which stayed overnight. I'm very happy with the new battery and tools. Don't know which connection I was hooking up wrong but glad all's well now.

I'm not giving a great review yet because the battery I received will not charge past 75%, and as noted in other reviews, is not a perfect fit. I have contacted the seller for a replacement. If they respond promptly and rush me a good replacement I will re-evaluate this review.Update: After a couple of days of draining and charging the battery as recommended by many forums, the battery life and charging time is not getting any better. It takes a minimum of 12 hours to get a full charge on this battery and it will fully drain after a few hours of use, even if I have it plugged in while using it. Also, as noted in other reviews, the tools to open the tablet case are fragile and break very easily. I am returning this battery for a refund. I do not recommend this product.

My Samsung Galaxy Tab had completely given up the ghost. The "fully charged" original batter now lasted only a couple of minutes before shutting down. I found some online videos about how to change it and it didn't look too hard to DIY. This replacement came with halfway decent tools to split the case open (I added a couple of extra guitar picks in the process). Everything seemed to fit correctly and thankfully the tablet booted up correctly once reassembled. In spite of the "vintage" OS, I still find it to be a useful tablet for many tasks. I'd say this lighter battery does not last quite as long, but it has restored the tablet to being useful again rather than being nothing more than a high-priced cutting board.

Tool provided to pry the case off of tablet was difficult to use. The prying edge of the plastic tool became worn out and deformed with use. I was finally able to get the case off tablet to install new battery. The included miniature screw driver was perfect for removing the mounting screws. The YouTube videos make it look easy to remove the tablet back. It's much harder than it appears. Takes time and patience. Once the case was opened, battery installed with no problem. Was 60% charged upon installation. Charged to 100% and it works great. The tablet is 4 years old and the original battery finally wouldn't charge. It's like I have a new tablet now.

The product needs an instruction sheet. Some of the YouTube videos didn’t show the little guitar pics used to pry the tablet apart. Also the battery cable was to long. It needs to be about an 8th of an inch shorter for the SM-T800. It also took forever to charge. So all in all I probably would take the tablet to someone and spend the $99 to have a warranty included and let them do it.

I replaced this battery again for the 3rd time on a SM-T800 version. However, I was still having random resets. I watched a few videos and it turns out that on some of these tablets, the actual battery connector is not soldered down correctly. So even with a new battery, you could still have issues. After inspecting the solder joints, I determined that the contacts to the board had contamination and were not truly soldered down. After soldering the contacts, now the tablet runs as expected without issue. So this battery works, but that may not be the entire solution you need.

Installed in my Samsung tablet. Powered up but screen was faint and would not swipe open. Charged to 100% but did same thing. Removed new battery and reinstalled old battery was able to open tablet with no problems. I'm sure the old battery still has the issues it had before but at least in turns the tablet on. Should have saved my money.

Bought this battery as a replacement for what I thought was a failed battery in my Samsung Galaxy Tab S (SM-T800). Symptoms were the infamous "boot loop" and randomly powering off. Battery replacement was easy and this one was an exact fit. Battery charged quickly and holds its charge VERY well. Turns out that I have a broken power switch. As soon as I get that repaired, and with this new battery, my tablet will be almost as good as new. Glad I bought it.
