Timex Men's T2P285 Intelligent Quartz Adventure Series Stainless Steel Watch with Black Band

It does exactly what it says it does and looks great doing it. Comfortable band and easy to see and use.

This is a fine watch.... not too flashy, not too plain. It looks good on one's wrist and seems to be very well made. One minor detraction... the bezel on the watch rotates way too easily. Not a big deal... but it cost it a star anyway. Have not yet adjusted the declination on the compass... will update review after I do that. All in all, so far.... this is a really nice watch!UPDATE- BE WARNED: You have to send this watch in to Timex to get the compass re-calibrated when you change the battery. My watchsmith said this watch had a 'disposable' interior... all plastic, no workable parts. This personifies a disposable society to the extreme, an $80 disposable watch?UPDATE: This watch has a malfunction in the compass mechanism. Timex WILL NOT service this watch.... I just found out the hard way. When you change the battery, it decalibrates the compass... Look elsewhere.....

Used for 6 months, but crystal got too scratched up.

I got this watch as my outdoor activity time piece. I prefer an analog watch to a digital one. I haven't tried the compass feature yet, but it has an easy to read face. The "rubber" band has a comfortable feel to it. Overall the watch has a nice heft, giving it a quality feel. So far the watch seems to keep great time. The only drawback to this watch is that the bezel moves a little to easily. On the whole I'm pleased. At the Amazon price it is good value in my opinion.

The watch has worked fine for 2 years now but the compass is not useful. After an elaborate calibration procedure it points somewhat in the right direction but not for long. I made sure to minimize interference from local magnetic fields as much as reasonably possible both during the calibration procedure as well as during subsequent attempts to get a reading. It's just not working. Meanwhile, I need a new wristband, which seems to be another challenge, at least if one tries to get one similar to the original. The whole product is not a complete failure but not a great experience either.

I don't need tide and weather... but do often wish I had a compass handy. Perfect for everyday use and fishing/hiking orientation. Easy to calibrate to your location. All features working perfectly on arrival, and I like the feel of the band. The second hand is excellent for the gym. Glad I chose this watch.

Great watch. For those having problems calibrating the compass, when you pull the middle dial out there are two levels and the first one is for the compass. Search online (I found a YouTube video) on how to calibrate it...it's quick an easy to do.

I bought it for my husband for fathers day and he just loves it. He says it works great and is very confortable to wear.
