Excellent sinking fish food for cichlid
I have single Parrot cichlid in a 3 feet tank. She rejected Hikari chichid bio gold+ because that was floating type. She likes sinking food i didn't had any choice other than tetra bits so i use tetra bits too. Tetrabits is good with some great flaws half sinks half floats half sinks and makes tank dirty. I was searching for a good sinking food. When i tried it first most of pellets sinked and my fish didn't seen them sinking and they dissappeared in gravel. That was dangerous for tank and could make water dirty. Now I AM FEEDING ONE PELLET AT A TIME. I RECOMMEND TO FEED PELLET ONE BY ONE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR WATER CLEAN AND HAVE LESS FISHES. OVERALL IT'S A GREAT FISH FOOD.

Misleading size in second photo above.
In the 2nd photo, it looks like diameter is 4mm approx, but pellets received were much smaller. Product is tasty and healthy for fish, but I had size requirements as well. Please correct the product description.

Very happy with the product! My fish love it!
Very healthy for the fish! Sinking and herbivorous diet! I feed this to my 4-5 inch goldfishes (common and black moor).

Good food for african cichlids
My African cichlids love it, i bought it because most of my peacocks are herbivores, the haps and predators eat it too. Since there is less protein, the chances of getting malawi bloat is slim with this food. Go for it if you keep Malawi cichlids, specially mbunas.

Little large and sinks fast
I wanted to offer a variety to my tetras, who are usually on Ocean Nutrition flakes, Hikari micro pellets and Tetrabits. But these are too large for their mouths and sink like stones to the bottom. My catfishes and Bolivian Rams are enjoying them though.

Packet says mini size but too big for my mbuna cichlids
Too big size pellets for small mbuna cichlids, not suitable for young mbuna cichlids, this was the smallest size available by hikari but still it’s too big to fit my mbuna cichlids. And sinking pellets is not a good idea for community tank fishes as the food that gets deposited in the ground create unnecessary aggression in your tank, I’m telling this from my own experience and this purchase just became useless as my cichlids can’t eat this, I’m continuing my old food which was floating type and perfect small fine grain size which they enjoy eating

Best staple food for Mbunas!
I was feeding protein rich food for my mbunas and had issues like bloat with some fish. But once I started feeding them this hikari product as staple, I didn't have any health issues with my fish.
