Well, I was lovin' this food processor until...
...I removed the work bowl from the dishwasher last night and noticed a crack in the plastic that holds the locking pin and spring.I received the food processor on February 25th, a little over month ago. This unit was to replace my 9 cup Cuisinart, which I had had for over 3 years, and the bowl never cracked. In fact, the unit still works and has found a new home with my sister, but I digress.I am out of the 30 return window, so I cannot exchange the unit. I still love the unit and the performance is stellar. I just don't understand why there's a crack in the bowl. I'm guessing this is a fluke, as I haven't read any other reviewers having the same issue. If a crack hadn't developed, I would've gave this unit 5 stars. It is a workhorse and has handled everything I've put it in without so much as a whimper. It actually can finely chop veggies without turning them into mush. I much prefer "paddle" controls vs "button" controls. There is much more control when you're using the pulse function.I love to cook and make the majority of our food from scratch (we're vegans that eat eggs occasionally from my sister's hens, which makes us not vegan, but I don't know what the term for that is). On Sundays I will make one recipe after another and freeze them for the coming week. My food processor gets a workout weekly. For me a good food processor is a necessity. And this one really has so much power that it makes every task so easy. Things that used to make my Cuisinart choke, the Waring breezes through as though it's cutting butter. So other than my issue with the cracked work bowl, I have no complaints about this machine. I will update the review if the company responds to my request for a bowl replacement.UPDATE: Received my new work bowl last week. Am more than pleased with the pleasant interaction I had on the phone with Waring and their prompt response in sending a replacement work bowl. I have been putting the machine through it paces again and have not had any issues. Am lovin' this food processor again! And due to the great response I received from Waring's Customer Service Department, I have changed the rating from from 4 stars to 5 stars.

Shady Warranty practices
The product is okay, but god forbid anything goes wrong... Had a blade wear out in less than 1 year and when trying to get a warrantied replacement they informed us we had to drive to a authorized dealer over an hour away and if they think it falls under warranty than we are so lucky to get to send it in (on our dime again I imagine) where they get final word. They over charge for the blade otherwise I'd just take the hickey.. If having a commercial product that just last a year is something you think you'll enjoy then by all means, otherwise stay away...

WELL WORTH THE COST! Superior to Other Food Processors
I'd been using Cuisenart for 25 years, and finally retired it. I HATED the design of the Cuisenart bowl and locking mechanism! I went through several bowl assemblies because they kept breaking. So I had to spend more $$ as it wasn't worth buying a whole new food processor.FINALLY someone designed a powerful food processor with parts that lock into place easily and seem much more stable! No more little pieces sticking out that can break easily, as is the case with the Cuisenart. Also, I always hated using the grater with the Cuisenart because it was very difficult lifting the blade off when the bowl was full of grated zucchini or whatever - it would just get stuck. How refreshing to use this new Warning machine with the continue chute feature! WOW!!! I can just keep feeding it and it just gobble it up and spits it out!I just processed a huge amount of zucchini which I needed grated for fermenting. What used to take 2 hours was done in a fraction of the time! I'm very pleased!Oh and did I mention how POWERFUL it is??? Yes it's a BEHEMOTH!Yes it's pricey but if you do a large volume of produce at a time, like I do for fermenting, it's well worth it to invest in the proper equipment. My TIME is valuable and this machine is definitely a time-saver! (even over other food processors). Having the continue chute feature is like having an unlimited capacity bowl! It just never fills up so you can just keep going! I LOVE IT!Oh and I love the adjustable slicer; negates the need for additional blades. It looks classy too, very professional. My only complaint is that the assembly instructions aren't very good. Some of the instructions didn't have any accompanying pictures and I had No clue what some of the terms meant. They really need to improve their manual. I was able to figure it out, but I shouldn't have had to. It should have been more clear. That's a minor complaint though. I'm very happy with this machine!

Fantastic Food Processor
This large capacity food processor has the umph to get the job done. The base unit is heavy and will not move around on you while using it. It is quiet and powerful. The large container allows you to process enough of a food for a large family at one time. Well made!

Needs more power
After purchasing a different model (Cuisinart Elite 12 cup) two years ago we finally got tired of cleaning the lid on that unit. We eventually stopped using it because no one was willing to spend the time getting all the food out of the gaskets and crevasses. Interestingly this unit comes with some of the same discs as the Elite (just stamped with Waring instead) which was disappointing as that was one of things that we had hoped would be improved with a unit that cost twice as the elite. But here is the most important difference- the motor. The motor on the Waring is almost half the power of the Elite (3/4hp vs 1.3-ish). I was barely able to process dough and really couldn't shred mozzarella cheese right out of the fridge. To my previous point on the discs; there seems to be just a bit too much gap between the top of the disc and the lid which means there is always a chunk of carrot, cheese, etc that doesn't get shredded.Because this is SO much easier to clean we use it almost everyday, just wish there was more power to get through bread dough.

Perfect machine
I had 2,5quart before and gave it away. I wanted 3,5 quart for bigger family. This machine is a work horse and can handle a lot of abuse. It works at my house daily. One feature that needs to be a bit more worked on is the continuous feed. The feed doesn’t have any “ramp” towards the bowl, there is a lot of mess between a bowl and machine. I would still buy this machine even with that little annoying part.

Stopped working after 8 months of use.
After only 8 months of using this product it has broken and has to be replaced. Even worse the time to return it has passed. Not happy with this product. Will not purchase again.
