A SOLID Keyboard that is worth more than the listed price!
I was in need of a temporary alternative to a new laptop, I'm taking evening classes and really wanted to us the iPad as I've got the needed reference docs. already on it. I settled on getting a keyboard, but really didn't want to spend a lot of money, the iPad is a 2nd Generation and somehow spending $60.00 or so was not that appealing.I took a week or so doing hunting, here on Amazon, and then following the trail on YouTube. I must confess that I initially settled on the Anker Folio Keyboard case because of the solid look to the thing, as well as the fact the keyboard looked sturdy; the videos on YouTube clinched it for me.When I opened it up and set up my iPad with it, I was surprised at the ease of installing the pad; it's a snug fit, as well as paring up with the iPad.The test cam when I began to type. Thanks to the Army I can type a minimum of 58 words a minute, and I wanted to see what would happen when I did a test drive.I was not disappointed. The keys are sturdy, and have as good a feel as a standard keyboard, although the layout and spacing are different. This for me at least, is not an inconvinence. The case is heavy, if you want a light weight case then this isn't it. On the plus side, it does mean slightly more protection for the iPad.Earlier reviews, here and on YouTube suggested that the main downside to this unit was that there was no shut off magnet. These must have been for another model, as this case has the needed magnets. There is accessibility for the plug, and the eyelet for the lens of the camera is rather nicely centered. This is proving to be one of the better purchases I've made this year. I highly recommend this keyboard.

Its hard to find a good keyboard for an Ipad III. This one does the job nicely.
I have an ipad 3. This stand works great on your lap on an airplane, which is much better setting it on the cramped tray table. The keyboard folds behind the ipad if you want to use the ipad normally, The ipad folds up, and the bottom is attached magnetically on top of the keyboard, Pretty secure, but it does dismount if you bump it, or tilt imore than 45 degrees. Blutooth is activated when the magnet is holding the ipad in place, and disactivated when you un-mount it. This is a great feature as there no on/off switch and seems to save the battery. The camera lens is accessable through the case. I wish it had a lighted keyboard like the zagg, but that is a minor thing. Seems to have issues with the spell check though. When I use the keyboard for typing, the spell check does not underline misspelled words (like it normally does when using the screen keyboard). Probably, an issue on all external keyboards so I can't falt this unit. Lastly, The keys themselves have a nice "Click" to them, which contributes to fast and positive typing.A good choice if you are looking for a decent ipad III keboard, where you can still enjoy the ipad's key features.

Great case and keyboard, great customer support
I really like this case! I was looking for something that would approximate the performance of my iPad Pro case, which was a long shot, but this comes close! My only reservation is, as some others have said, the magnet slip. To be clear, it's not like the screen is just slipping down all over the place, but it is a little more prone to letting go if you try to move it or attach the lightning cable without supporting it with your other hand. Not sure if a lip to hold the screen (mentioned by another reviewer) or a stronger magnet (as some other cases have) would do the trick but that would put this one over the top! I gave this the full 5 stars, though, because (a) the occasional slipping thing is not a big deal to me, and (b) the case is otherwise really well thought-out and performs well compared to others I've had. No glitchy skipping keys, no Bluetooth disconnect. I have not tested the promise of 6 months' battery life on a single charge, but I've definitely gone weeks without charging it with no problems. Available keys are the ones you actually want (like the globe-symbol for your other language/emoji key board, screen brightness, rev/play-pause/ff, volume, etc.), and they feel like they are supposed to when you type-- not 'clicky' like they are about to fall off. Finally, their customer service is top notch. A small problem with my case was resolved almost immediately after reaching out to Anker customer support.

With the Folio, Anker delivers a terrific Bluetooth keyboard solution, a thin iPad case profile + a positive consumer experience
I wanted to make sure I had a few months with this product before writing a review, because there were a lot of choices for keyboard cases. The reason I chose the Anker Folio was 1) price/value vs competitors (as much as $90 vs. $36) and 2) experience with the Anker keyboard. Now here's the thing -- I had a Bluetooth Anker keyboard for my iPad that worked great . . . the keys were super responsive, great look and feel . . . but as many people reported, some of the keys started falling off. Now I beat up my equipment, travel a lot, throw it in the backpack, so I have my share of blame. So when I had the opportunity to seek out a Bluetooth "keyboard case" for my iPad, I spend a week comparison shopping, including on-site tests at Big Box Stores. None of them had the feel of an Anker keyboard, so I took the plunge.I'm glad I did. The reasons: although the keyboard is shallow, it has a great tactile feel to it. When it snaps into place on the magnetic strip, the Bluetooth activates quickly. The cover is a matte finish, and it cleans up well. One of the best attributes is its thin profile so it goes into the backpack effortlessly. Another thing Anker takes pride in is the minimal charge required to keep the keyboard active -- I've only had to charge it twice since I've owned it, and have never had an issue of running out of juice with the keyboard. The case has an ability to act as a laptop replacement (ipad as monitor / keypad as keyboard) and as a simple case (keypad flips out of the way, use it as an iPad). I'm pleased with this purchase, as it converts the iPad into a simple Bluetooth laptop when I need it for that purpose, but keeps a thin profile when I simply need access to my iPad. Highly recommended, and I also very much like Anker's friendly, pro-consumer stance.
