Don't Buy This! Spare Yourselves!
When my 1st ASUS Chromebook came from Amazon without a working battery, I was extremely pleasant about it. Things happen, right? Contact product support, blah blah, the manufacturer will send you a battery! Yeah! You'll get an email to confirm.2 days later....no email. Contact product support at Amazon, who contacts product support at ASUS. There's no record that Amazon ever contacted them.... and they say the battery can't be replaced (though there are clearly after market batteries all over Amazon. Further, this machine isn't under warranty, and they need proof of purchase before they can ... blah blah.Ok, ok. Amazon will send me a 2nd ASUS Chromebook. 2 days. Send the old one back when the new one gets here. Ok, great solution. I can live with this. Stuff happens, right?Except the 2nd ASUS Chromebook has...... NO BATTERY!! Crosh says "no battery," there's no battery icon, and it only works when plugged in.Go back to Amazon product support. (I'm 3 hours into this conversation now. Time for which Amazon reps are being paid, but I'm sure not.) Now they want to send me an after-market battery, direct from Amazon. Or, no. They want to give me a 45% partial refund ($65) to BUY an after market battery (least expensive is $47). And in order to not void the warranty (which is doing so much for me already) I have to find a local certified tech to replace the battery....with the remaining $17.They don't want to risk sending another replacement. And they aren't going to test one before sending it. The Amazon rep told me that "with renewed products we have to lower our expectations."So, folks, lower your expectations! Don't expect these to come with working batteries! Don't expect Amazon to actually know what they're doing or stand behind their refurbished products!Spare yourselves the 3+ hours of hassle only to end up with no computer - because all they can do at this point is process a refund. Best believe I'm not ordering this again. Or anything else "renewed" by Amazon. Expectations permanently "lowered."

BEST bang for your $$$!!!
WOW! You want to talk about money well-spent!?! I have had this for 3 days and LOVE it! I use it mainly for internet & music, and sometimes streaming ball games.....considering this is relatively NOT a whiz-bang loaded machine compared to 'windows' (puke!) machines, it is sooooo fast, smooth, and EASY to use! Start-ups are FAST, shut-downs are FAST!....no waiting, and no stupid updates notifications CONSTANTLY like from windows (puke) machines! I love this thing so much I am tempted to get another one for WHATEVER!....just because! Microsoft(puke), are you paying attention here???

Use caution! Not as described!
The description says it's refurbished to look and work like new. This is not "like new". The X scratched deeply into the touch pad makes it distracting to use and the cover is so scratched and scuffed that it looks like it was spun across a concrete floor. It's obviously had a beer rough life and I'm concerned the insides were as poorly refurbished as what I can see.

Read carefully!
Read carefully. Laptop does not come with a battery. Needs to be charged with wire at all times.

OS failed
I bought it in November and now, six months later, it has crashed. I am getting the error “chrome OS is missing or damaged”. I have attempted a recovery usb on multiple platforms to no avail. They all failed. Will never buy Asus or chrome OS again.

refurbished
Do NOT buy refurbished. Used to know people who got these cause so many were not actually used but we only had this about 5 months and the screens completely freaks out

It’s important to purchase an item that you can be sure you will be satisfied with.
My granddaughter said it kept slowing down like it had hard drive issues and now the computer has stopped working .
