Remote Control URC-3220-R

The remote was very useful. Funny story about why I needed it. My employers gym had several TVs on the wall when I would work out. They used to have a remote I think, it’s been so many years since I bought this I don’t remember. Or maybe they didn’t have a remote usually. I can’t remember exactly. But somehow I was able to see this remote one time it was left out by the manager of the gym. So when I saw it I took pictures of it and then went online to buy my own remote that way when I was watching the TV and exercising I could change the channels to whatever I wanted. It was obvious the gym management did not want us changing channels but I exercise at night and I was in there by myself. And all the TVs are on different channels so it’s not like they were playing the same thing. So I would change it to whatever I wanted to watch. When I left I would change it back. And by the way, the gym had no employees that were there so it’s not like I could ask them to change it. And I use the exercised at night when literally nobody else was in the gym. So seeing this order on my Amazon Account at least six years after I bought the remote brings back funny memories.

This remote was one model higher than what came with the original cable installation. It works perfectly and controls the cable box and tv. Programming the tv using the instructions on the back of the remote also worked fine. It took about 45 seconds to find the code so just keep holding the button as the instructions state and you'll be fine.

This remote works perfectly to replace my Cox Mini Remote. I should have bought it months ago, when my previous remote started to do wonky things and the keys started to stick - then I wouldn't have had to go without (well, with only the one channel the Cox Box was stuck on) TV for a bit! Though maybe that was good for me....? I think I may order another of these as a spare just to have on-hand for the next time.

Brand new. Works great. Easy to set up and use.

Overall great, but followed directions and it did not link with the TV so I still can't control the volume with the remote.
