Direct replacement for Roomba 960
**Update: after 13 months of daily use the battery has died. I am keeping this at a 5 star rating because its a great value even for such a short life span compared to the Roomba brand battery****Update after 8 months of daily use. The battery still works like a charm. I am still getting 90 minute run times. Perfect.**I have a two-year-old Roomba 960 that had lost battery life to the point it would only run for 35 minutes per charge. The cost for iRobot branded batteries was double the price of this item so I gave it a shot. The battery was a direct replacement and swapping out the batteries takes a phillips-head screwdriver and about 30 seconds. I have gone from 35 minute to 90 minute run-time which I believe is as good or better than when the Roomba was new. The replacement brushes that come with the battery are a nice bonus; they will be a little deformed from being in a box but just leave them on the counter for a day or two and they will regain their shape. I will update this review in a few months to comment on battery life and long-term performance.

Just What Our Roomba Needed
We inherited a Roomba from our daughter, but it didn't work so I found on the internet that some people had this problem when the thing was switched off for a while. I ordered a new battery. It now works really well and seems to last a long time. I don't know the longevity of the battery since we just got it new.The local store wanted 3x for the same battery so this is a great deal. The brushes are super easy to replace and it's nice that the battery comes with extras. it also comes with a little plastic tool that I have no idea what to do with, but ... I digress.

Excellent battery so far and my Rhoomba is alive again!
I’ve had a Rhoomba for many years, although it has not worked as it would only go 10’ and die. I tried this battery and so far I am very pleased with the results. The battery installation is fairly easy, with only 4-5 screws to remove on the bottom to access the battery. After installing the battery, I scheduled my Rhoomba to run every other day. The Rhoomba usually vacuums from 1 hour to as long as 3 hours and it is a pleasure to see it back on its base automatically When finished. I have had times when it was not on its base, but it ended up being due to an entanglement, brushes need cleaning, or needs to be emptied. When not seeing it on its base, I would press the “Clean”button, and an audible message would tell me why it stopped, usually on the second press as the first press it will attempt to continue. The battery life is around 3 to 3-1/2 hours on a charge from my experience thus far with a schedule of cleaning every other day after 3 months of use so far. I will update if the battery life changes. All and all, so far it has been a great product for the price, as the genuine Rhoomba batteries are much more expensive. Another note as some people may have an issue reinstalling the cover after installing the battery, be sure to put the pull tabs for removing the battery tucked alongside the battery. I noticed if the tabs were left out, they interfere with the cover going all the way in and fitting flush. Do not use the screws to force the cover down! Be sure it goes in on its own and sits flush before tightening screws!

Good replacement for my roomba 650 battery.
Replaced the battery in my roomba 650. It came about halfway charged so it probably holds a charge at least decently, depending on when it was precharged. It's capacity is noticeably better than the original working over 45 minutes on a charge. It was the same size as the original and materials feel the same as the original. I've charged and ran out the battery 4 times when I got it and have now left it with a full charge for about a week. It ran for what felt like about the same length of time as when freshly charged so I don't think it discharges itself too fast. Anyways, it's one of the top listings for roomba battery replacements, and it works pretty good. Recommended. And, no I didn't get paid or get this free or get contacted by the seller. People that shill for free products on Amazon, including vine people suck.

False advertising: battery life same as 1800 mAh models
I purchased this battery to replace my older 1800 mAh battery. While the battery fits and the roomba runs, the runtime is no better than with my 1800 mAh battery. This seems like a case of clear mislabeling.

Buy This Replacement vs. a Generic
Please learn from my experience with a non-Roomba manufactured replacement battery and purchase this one for a few dollars more than an off-brand manufactured replacement! After three months of using a non-Roomba replacement battery we started having issues: after running the Roomba for about five minutes it would time out and beep at us with a verbal warning: the display would show an E3 error message. Looking that message up in the manual, it is a warning you are using an unauthorized battery which shuts the Roomba down. After a bit of trial and error, I’ve found there are only two ways to make this error message go away: set the Roomba back on the charger for a while, or take the time to remove the battery from the Roomba then reinstall it.Neither of those two options are very realistic.I then went and did what I should have done in the first place – I bought this Roomba-manufactured battery and have been using it for a couple of months now and the error message has not happened since. Sure, part of that could be frustration with the Roomba manufacturer for putting in some type of protection scheme for their proprietary batteries. On the other hand, I hope others will avoid my mistake and pay a few dollars more and purchase this replacement battery instead. This replacement battery is really easy to install - turn the Roomba upside down, remove the four main screws holding the base and remove the screw holding the sweeper brush in place. Take the base off, pull out the old battery and pop in the new. Replace everything you did in the same exact order - including the time to locate a smaller Phillips head screwdriver and put it back up, it took me less than five minutes. You do need to charge the new battery up overnight before you use the Roomba. Once it has recharged, you're back to an almost new machine in terms of run time.
