The Dakine Nitrous is the industry standard for board short seat harnesses. They designed this harness to support the rider like a rock climbing harness does. It has a minimal amount a material, but still offers good support and does not ride up when the kite is overhead.

Returned because I don't like them as much as my older nitrous shorts. These new ones are very baggy and no longer have the adjustable buckle on the inner support.

This seat harness is awesome. Firstly
This seat harness is awesome. Firstly, by pulling from the waist, it removes the stress from the back. I no longer have any back pain! Also, it acts like a pair of shorts, which means I have fewer things to carry in my bag.
