Not a new computer.
Had to send back for a refund, and will not order from seller again. I'm sure the computer would have been nice if I could have used it. The item is listed no where as being used, but it was. Box was not sealed either, another bad sign. Upon opening the laptop I find someone else's Apple ID listed, and without that person's login I cannot get into the computer aside from as a Guest. And I did not pay over $1400 for a Guest computer. Very disappointed.

... myself to this new laptop and I am so glad I did
My Macbook Air was starting to show it's age so I upgraded/treated myself to this new laptop and I am so glad I did. It's fast, efficient, sleek looking, and has some really nice upgrades to this model that are a welcome addition. I mostly use this when traveling, or working remotely, or simply just when I want a change of scenery for a couple of hours. It is not my primary computer but it easily could be as it is definitely powerful enough to be. I'm a graphic designer so I run the Adobe Creative Suite on this each time I use it and not only does it run very well on it, but it doesn't drain the battery terribly which exceeding my expectations by far. The Touch Bar is awesome - customizable and handy. Love the larger touchpad too. The display is BEAUTIFUL...truly...and when working in a mostly visual field, that's really important.I have been a Mac loyalist for almost 20 years. Apple computers are not cheap, but to me, they are worth every penny. If you have the need for portability, I would definitely recommend this model. You could get by the 13" model too but the extra screen real estate on this does make a difference.

Could not be happier w my 13" MacBook Pro 2016 w Touchbar
I'm new to Apple computers, so I researched this thing like crazy! Short review is that as a frugal person, I believe this laptop is worth the three times more I paid, over my last windows laptop!Keyboard: Love the snappy keys, they feel solid and sturdy.Screen: I use this laptop anytime I can, instead of my flat screen TVs at home.13": My last laptop was 15", and I was concerned about going down in size because I feared not being able to read content as well. The screen is so crisp and the zoom feature makes this a non-issue. Now I take it everywhere, because it is just the right size.USB-C ports: Small and tight fit, and so many things are wifi and Bluetooth, I find that I barely use these, and when I do they are super FAST! This is the future port, I'm happy to have purchased ahead of the crowd for once.Touchpad: Finally one where I don't struggle when trying to capture and copy a large area of content! It has never been accidently activated when I'm typing.Touchbar: This is genius, and one of those things that people are going to wonder what they did before it. The apps are already capitalizing on it's function. It's only a novelty if you only use it for emojis, and that is simply a user error not to expand their usage.Touch ID to Unlock: I would pay $500 just for this feature! Yes, it's that big of a deal, and I'm not a power user, Like I said earlier, I'm frugal (some say cheap). My Gripe: Some features require that I have to enter my password, instead of Touch ID. I realize how petty that is, but I'm telling you, once you have it you don't want to go back!

Unreliable
After two years, screen went black every time I opened the laptop over 90 degrees. There seems to be a faulty flex cable which is soldered on the logic board, thus, you have to replace the whole screen even though it is perfectly fine.It was my first Apple Macbook and, honestly, I was not expecting a fault like this. I've had cheaper laptops before and they stopped working either due to normal tear and wear, accidental damage. But I never had to stop using a computer due to a manufacturer's design issue.Apple is not considering this a design problem so they want to charge me approximately USD 700 for replacing the screen. By the way, one of the keyboard keys just came off and they had to honor their decision to fix keyboards for this model.Sad. Do not spend a lot of money on Apple products. If you want a Macbook, get a Macbook air or a cheaper model. Buy more reliable, and cheaper computers, for your design needs.

Keep this thing AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE
First of all, get used to adapting everything.Second of all, either get a skin for the bottom bezel, keep this laptop VERY clean. The bottom bezel of the screen is made of super cheap, super thin plastic. Imagine my surprise when a speck of dirt made its way above the touch bar without my knowledge, and impaled it's way into the bottom bezel and through the circuitry that connects the display to the body of the laptop, frying my screen upon me closing the laptop. I'd expect much better material choice in ALL areas of the laptop for a nearly three thousand dollar computer.Pictures are attached, the black blob in the center of the screen is me hiding my name, the screen flickers in person when it actually manages to come on, and is always shifted to the right. Was a decent laptop while it was working. Space grey is a cool color and it performs just about as a mac should.
