Great for organizing, very strong
These hooks are great for cleaning up & organizing a garage or shed. They work well for bikes (I currently have 2 bikes hanging in my garage using these), but they work just as well for anything with a handle. I'm hanging a weed whacker, leaf blower, shovels... anything that can hang, does hang in my garage.Installation is quick & easy. All you'll need is a drill & 3/16" bit. Drill a hole into a ceiling joist - VERY IMPORTANT!! If you have drywall covering your ceiling like me, make sure you get a stud finder (I use a Zircon StudSensor ) as drywall cannot handle any real weight. Screw the hook into the pilot hole & engage as much of the thread as you can. Once it's all the way in you can spin it such that the open portion of the hook is in a convenient location to hang your items without any loss in soad capacity. One of my favorite benefits of these hooks is that they aren't permanent fixtures. With the installation being so easy, you can move them around to reorganize or accommodate a new item very quickly. And with the price (under $4 with the "Add On Item" program), they're a great buy (a comparable item at my local Home Depot is just under $2 per hook).

Nice hooks, good price
These hooks are really nice. Just make sure you find solid framing to attach them. Follow the instructions and drill the correct pilot hole and use bar soap to lubricate the threads making it easier to turn them into their holes.Another thing to keep in mind is that most garages are going to have about a half inch of sheet-rock (drywall) and you need to make sure you turn the hooks in as much as you can and still have clearance to get the bike tire over the hook. One bike with large hybrid tires had difficulty making it onto the hooks so I had to tweak the hook by bending the "question mark" a bit more open.Another option to this problem takes a bit more time but is way more flexible and secure: what I had to do for one bike because the garage framing wouldn't work out for me (no joists where I needed to attach the hooks) is to attach an eight foot 2x4 into the ceiling framing then attach the hooks to the 2x4. Doing it this way ensures that all of the threads bite into solid wood and allows you hang the hooks where you need them for your specific application requirements.

Great hooks for hanging bikes from rafters.
These hooks worked perfectly to hang our bikes from the ceiling rafters in our garage. We've been wanting to free up some ground space for our gym, and these did the trick. They are solidly built and the rubber coating is sure to hold up. I will say, however, that after I purchased these, I found some similar hooks at a big box store for a bit cheaper, thus the reason for the 4 stars. I could have received a better deal. Other than that, these are great!

I am pleased with the product I think the price could be ...
It does what it is designed to do perfectly. Very strong and holds my two mountain bikes in place with ease. The reason I knocked off a star is because I have found similar product for 1.99-2.99 while at Walmart. Although, I am pleased with the product I think the price could be a little cheaper.

work great for most bikes
i'd get the heavy duty hooks if you're hanging wide mtn bike tires but these work great for my road bikes and hybrids. the 60 lb weight limit is legit and i have 4 bikes hanging vertically from the front tire on these. still hanging months later!

Very good but not the best.
Very good but not the best for bike storage use. There's a model with grey protection film, that's preferably longer in length, and is slightly bulkier that allows stud side [vertical] mounting (as appose to only stud bottom [horizontal] mounting) which offers increased bike placement options. I discovered that model after this purchase. Still, can't complain one bit and I do enjoy this product.

they stay in the ceiling
Got these to hang my sons Trike up. They have a very high weight limit. I found cheaper ones at the local hardware store after purchasing and installing these, but these have a higher weight limit so in the future I could hang something heavy from them when we retire the Trike.

These things are great. Know what size you want before you order and make sure you order the correct size for your job. I've got multiple sets of these hanging up in my garage hanging up all kinds of things from bikes to fishing poles.

Pretty good hooks
Pretty good hooks, I've hung cheap and heavy bikes on both of them (one bike per hook) on my garage's ceiling and they hold up very well. Just make sure you screw it in something very sturdy!
