Cryptid Construction kit, Monster Fridge Magnet Creature Creation Kit, Magnetic Animals by VMNlooking (Magnet)

I work in special education and have these on my board all the time now. The kids create a creature and then name it, and I add it into the book I'm making. It's been highly motivating to get them to write. So much fun. They are quite thin though so they can be tricky to get off the magnetic surface.

First of all, this is coming from a couple in their mid to late thirties with no kids. So not exactly the target market. But we've silly things like this and jumped on it right away.Already lots of enjoyment out of it, as you can see.The magnets are thick and strong enough to layer 2-4 magnets without issue. You can layer a 4th but it doesn't hold well and slides around easily. 3 is still impressive for these flat style magnets though!Main complaint is there's not a lot of 'body' options compared to heads, limbs, etc. So you have to get kinda creative sometimes and either have no body, or use a large tail or something as a body instead.Also the scaling is a bit weird on some pieces. Like there are all the parts of a duck. A head, a body, two legs. But if you were trying to make a normal duck the head is comically large for its body and the legs are kinda large too. Of course you're not trying to make a normal duck, but the other heads are weirdly propiortioned as well.But that's just nitpicking. We're still having a blast with these. 🤣
