Synopsis:MOLLY'S GAME is the true story of Molly Bloom a beautiful, young, Olympic-class skier who ran the world's most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents wielding automatic weapons. Her players included Hollywood royalty, sports stars, business titans and finally, unbeknownst to her, the Russian mob. Her only ally was her criminal defence lawyer Charlie Jaffey, who learned that there was much more to Molly than the tabloids led us to believe.

Excellent
I know very little about cards and that's mainly because I've never had any interest but was totally hooked by this movie.I was a great fan of Aaron Sorkin's West Wing and I wasn't wrong. The style of Molly's Game is pretty objective with excerpts of personal memories and personal experiences, the blend works well.I'd love to know what she went on to do later. And I'd also like to find more judges who could look at the scale of things like he did.Super watch

Molly's Game.
A smart, biographical drama based on the true story of Molly Bloom, who ran an exclusive poker game that eventually attracted the interest of the FBI due to the apparent links with the Russian mob. It's a classy and entertaining movie with excellent performances from Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba; the intriguing story engages regardless of one's interest in poker, as the dynamics and intelligence of the proceedings are fascinating to follow. One of Chastain`s best performances so far.The sole extra on the standard UK DVD release is a less than 3-minute featurette which is little more than an extended trailer which is a little disappointing. English subtitles are available if required.

A solid, entertaining film
Jessica Chastain brought me inWhat kept me glued to the screen was the sense that I was watching a semi-documentary presented by some solid understated acting (no sweeping stuff off desks, no faux shouty arguments, no plot explanation by over emotional ham acting)There's no real dramatic tension and whether or not you knew her story, (which I didn't) the ending wasn't an emotional tearjecker either but it was definitely interesting to see how it all panned out.I doubt it I'll watch it twice so I'm glad I paid DVD prices and not cinema prices

Hard to believe but true
Molly's Game is a great film. I put it with Miss Sloane and Zero Dark Thirty as Jessica Chastaine's greatest achievement so far. But the price, £1- 90 was amazing. Added to that the DVD arrived the same day ( I seem to remember ). If that is incorrect it did arrive well within 24 hours.

Whitewash
Quite the whitewash of Molly Bloom's life and career. Everything that happens is the fault of the disreputable men she surrounds herself with. She was a saint who just happened to make huge sums of money from running illegal poker games. Pull the other one!Would be entertaining if it didn't claim to be a true story. Good performances from Jessica Chastain and Kevin Costner.

Fantastic.
What a movie this was, brilliant from start to finish, well acted by a fantastic cast. Never heard of this lady before I sat and watched this movie, so when poker was mentioned I had to watch it. I was blown away by this movie what a perfect Lady, host, with a spirit you rarely see these days. The determination she had for being honest with buckets of integrity left me in awe of this Lady. A must see movie for anyone, even if you do not like the subject matter.

Aaron Sorkin's Directorial Debut.
I first saw Jessica Chastain in Miss Sloane and saw great potential therefore I had to order Molly's Game. Not only that I am a great fan of Aaron Sorkin and I think he writes brilliant dialogue. Although some is faction I have since read it is great story well executed and the kind of film to watch again which I will do. The sets are good as are all the production values. So watch and savour it.Finally, it was also good to see Aaron Sorkin turn his hand to directing and he acquitted himself excellently.
