The Boy Who Said Wow Hardcover – Picture Book, April 2, 2024

This book is a great addition to my elementary music classroom.I love teaching about how different people experience music differently, and the fact that this book is based on a real boy and a real experience give the book more merit.

Great true story about a boy in Boston who went to hear a concert at Symphony Hall and what he said after experiencing the wonderful music. I sent it to my grandchildren and they loved it. I am on a selection committee for choosing books to read in the schools and our committee selected it as a book we will be reading next year. I highly recommend it.

The media could not be loaded. This true story brought me to tears! The illustrations are incredible, I love the unique art. My three year old loves pointing out the dog who is in their adventure as well!

Wonderful true story shows power of music to a nonverbal child.

I saw the news story that told the story of the young boy in this story and was so touched that I wanted to purchase the book. I also gave a copy of the book to our friend’s 5 year old son because I thought it was a wonderful story to help children understand those who may be different than they are. How special an experience this must have been for the grandfather and the other patrons at the concert. Thank you so much for sharing the story!♥️

Prompt arrival, adequately packed, creative artwork. Did the young boy bring a dog to the concert? The pictures include one. I read about “the boy who said wow,” and was intrigued that letters were written to concert goers to determine who said, “Wow!” Which was not in the story, nor in an explanation in the back of the book. Why not tell the entire story.

I saw this story on a news story. I ordered the book to share with my Grandchildren who loved the story. The pictures are sweet and help to engage the children in the story.
