Stakmore Expanding Cabinet Finish, Fruitwood

Everything I hoped it would be. Looks nice. Not a quality piece but I'd still do it again for occasional use. It does look nice.UPDATE2 yeats later it is holding up well with occasional use as a "spillover" table.As mentio ed by another reviewer, opening and expanding is a 2 person job because pulling is not smooth.

I LOVE this table!! Was WAY better quality than I thought it would be for whatever reason. So functional and easily fits 7 people comfortably. I have considered getting long benches as seating and could probably seat a couple more, but 7 in regular chairs is probably the max. I found chairs off craigslist and didn't order the fold up ones though. I put this on one side of my pub dining table, so now I can seat 13 all together and the cabinet sits perfectly under one edge of the dining table. The cherry finish on this is what I would call a light cherry color and is beautiful. The only thing I noticed about this table, which isn't a big deal, just an observation, the leaves slide a tad when in place. I think it is in part because I have a slick hardwood floor and the table itself slides, so the leaves move along with it. Not sure it would do this on a carpeted floor and less slick floor. It really isn't a big deal though. Overall this table is exactly what I wanted for our space.

Loved the cabnet. Described as minor minor issues in the front and back. Shipped, Item was dropped and cracked. Door ripped off and rapped to the top of cabnet deep scratches. Other door cracked. No way to use item. The pallet was cracked and tore up.

It's just ok, but I paid for a lot more than that. The concept is great, I just wish the quality was better. I opened the crunched package and found a crunched corner, scratched edge and the back panel (that I think is mostly cosmetic) was broken at each of the staples and a corner just flapped against the cabinet. Admittedly, the damage likely was from the shipping and handling, but the quality of the piece itself doesn't feel worth the $650 price I paid. I'll likely return it and ask for a refund rather than an exchange.

Pros: Pretty. Nice headware. Extra leaf is a nice bonus.Cons: Too lite so the whole unit moves when you are trying to expand it which makes it a two person job. The foe black velvet tray that helps keep the leaves divided is a bit too big for the cupboard so the cabinet doors can not sit flush or closed. Leg to stabilize the center of the table when fully extended needs its own stabilizer. Backboard is not wood, it's made of some sort of pressed cardboard. Wood is so soft that if a utensil is tapped on it by a guest a mark is easily left. Price is too high for the quality.

We needed something flexible that would be large enough for just the wife and I, but could extend to bring in the other five kids and their spouses, and seat the grand kids, and guests, and convert back to a small table...AND be quality made and strong. This table fills that demand. It looks pricey compared to many other tables out there, but I have decided this was a very worth while investment to our home.

Cabinet delivered on time and in room I needed it in. Very innovative design , heavy and well made. Definitely worth the price. Pulls out with ease. Bought for Thanksgiving so will come back and review how it goes using all the leaves.

It is wonderful! easy to use, and accomodates 6 grandchildren comfortably. It is good quality and I appreciate the storage cupboard as well. I would definitely recommend this product!
