tiny stitches
I bought this because I love Thomas Kincaides work and it is a beautiful scene. But, when I received the kit in the mail, the stitches were so tiny I couldn't see them without a magnifying glass. 16 thread count is too tiny for my eyes. I have been doing counted cross stitch for years, but I don't think I can finish this one, and the price is quite high.

Love this picture with all of its bright colors but ...
Love this picture with all of its bright colors but there were a lot of color mixtakes in the threads provided.. several strands were the exact same color as one that is supposed to be lighter or darker.

I am sad to say it is one I have pretty much ...
I have had several Kinkade cross stitch kits. It is not your normal Kinkade pattern that is stamped, it is ALL cross stitch. You can only do a few stitches before you have to change colors and by a few I mean 4 or 5 usually. I worked on this one while on vacation and put in between 15 and 16 hours on it and only had between 4 and 6 inches completed. I am sad to say it is one I have pretty much given up on.

A couple of the floss colors seem to like to fray
Well made. A couple of the floss colors seem to like to fray, picked up beeswax and that does help. Got about half way (minus top stitching) in about 4 months of fairly regularly working on it.

A beautiful work of art that you can create
A beautiful work of art that you can create. It came with all the supplies needed to start and came at a timely manner. Takes a long time to complete this project. Well worth it if you love the design and have some experience with cross-stitching, not necessarily for a beginner.

Colors are not correct
Took me about 9 months to complete. Now that I have, I can see the colors of the string are completely off! Thinking this is not an original indicated but a knock off. The colors in the picture are like the kinkade painting and deep and dark. The ones in the kit are pastel and make it very difficult to even tell what the image is. Very disappointing time wasted.

Exquisite design
This is an absolutely beautiful pattern. I'm three quarters of the way done, which has taken several months. It's very complicated but lots of fun for the experienced cross-stitcher. It has a lot of quarter and three-quarter stitches, back-stitching, French knots, and metallic threads, all of which make it beautifully detailed. Plus it's a pattern in which every stitch is to be filled in, thus it takes a long time to finish. Can't wait to do another in the series.

Not a "quick" project, but worth the time.
While these do take a LONG time to complete (as in, 9-12 months for me working on it about 2-3 hours a night), they are absolutely beautiful! And at the end you have something of heirloom quality that'll be passed down for many years. Quite a bit cheaper than buying them in the store, too! (Found them at a craft store for almost $50...)
