A nice compact dock
This thunderbolt dock is nice and compact, it's perfect for those who don't have much desk space and don't mind daisy chaining instead of having all of the ports on one device. It powers my Zenbook fine while outputting to 2 displays via adaptors, I also tried it with an SSD plugged in and it works perfectly. One complaint I'd make is that the power brick for this thing is as big as the device itself, it only outputs 4.7 amps at 98 watts so I don't see why it can't be powered with USB-C PD, it would be much more convenient if it had this ability but I'm no engineer so I have no idea what the limitation could be here.Either way, if you really need a compact dock this is a solid choice, the other ones look good too and if they're as well made as this one I'm sure they're great.

High-end hub for fast Thunderbolt 4 connections.
This very fast Thunderbolt 4 hub won a CES Innovation Award in 2023. It's easy to see why. In a very thin box measuring just 12mm high x 125mm wide x 74mm deep it provides extraordinary levels of data speeds as well as simultaneous high power charging of up to 60W for a host computer such as a Mac or PC.The hub has six ports. On one side are the DC power input (taking power from a dedicated mains power supply included in the box) and three downstream USB-C ports of Thunderbolt 4 standard. On the opposite side are one USB-C Thunderbolt 4 Host port (capable of 60W pass-through charging and 40Gbps transfer rates) and one USB-A port (of USB 3.2 Generation 2 standard with 10Gbps speed). This specification allows me to connect one computer, a Windows workstation in my case, to a variety of peripherals, storage devices, UHD or 8K screens using just one thin cable between PC and hub which provides both power and data using Thunderbolt 4 technology. (the 60W USB-C to USB-C, 80cm cable comes included with the hub).My testing of this device used my PC, a Windows laptop, iPad Air (5th gen) and a Pixel 6 Android phone. I found that any of these could be attached to the Host port and could then access and read the contents of storage devices such as SD cards, USB sticks, M2 enclosures. Connecting to my 4K TV screen was no problem at Ultra HD. A full wired network connection to each was possible with a USB-RJ45 adaptor. The brief manual states that six levels of daisy chaining is possible downstream of the hub but I don't have the hubs to try this out, but it sounds very useful for creatives wanting access multiple storage drives near their desks. The design is very minimalist, apart from the 21V power brick (which comes with a long enough pair of cables to hide under a desk out of sight). I would have preferred a more descriptive User Guide and feel this has been skimped a bit (I found a bit more detail on Satechi's website). At £200 the cost is high. But the powerful technology combined with such convenient miniaturisation makes this a very user-friendly device. I cannot criticise the quality of build, design or presentation and feel that you get value for your money if this meets your requirements.

This appears to do exactly what it sets out to do
Not using this myself, the individual in our household, an apple products eccentric, says this is a very good unit that does everything they expect it to do, linking their iPad or their Mac laptop to the various desktop units but stay in place the rest of the time. The Thunderbolt ports work as though they are the originals by apple and specifically the user said the 60 Watt charging is very good and very useful. I've seen that they tend to charge their phone directly from this port rather than using the apple block. I'm told the data transfer speed is very good and efficient. I'm surprised there isn't a USB C attached to this model because so much works on these specifications in modern times or maybe this isn't necessary within the apple collection. Although I'm told this is an expensive product, it does what it's supposed to do where are some cheaper models do not.

Perfect and life-improving!
Any M-Chip Mac owner has a beef with Apple and their “less is more is less” approach to computing and peripherals. Finally, there is a product that allows me to effortlessly connect all things old and new to one dock, including two independently operating screens, with or without the laptop open.Having used it for three months now on my 2021 M1 Pro MBP, I have had only two instances where a USB-C connected, external SSD ejected improperly on its own. All other attachments have remained connected and perk up quickly after sleep. Adding, the unit runs much cooler than any other owned or tried. Like others have said, it would be nice to have the host port on the side or back as opposed to the front but it is not a deal breaker.

Doesn’t perform as advertised with MacBook Air
I have a 2023 M2 MacBook AirThe speed of this dock was extremely disappointing. Specifically I was not able to get more than about 300 Mbps from the 2.5 Gbe NIC. I noted that the NIC was actually detecting as USB attached rather than Thunderbolt. I returned this and bought a competing product, the other product worked perfectly.

Works well
This works well with a couple of my laptops; any instability is likely on the laptop end.

A great way to set up a work station!
PROS:- high quality build- excellent layout- plenty of ports for custom set up- can handle up to four (4) displays- compact; can be used horizontally or vertically (with stand)CONS:- noneI used this to set up a work station. The unit is well built and has a great layout to provide every port you need to be as expansive as desired. The main casing feels like metal and has a solid build quality. I can easily connect up to four (4) displays and this unit helps handle the workload. I was able to connect three displays (2 via DisplayPort, 1 HDMI) to the unit and all three were recognized by my Dell XPS15 (2021) and MacBook Pro 16" (2019) via USB C (both laptops have dedicated thunderbolt ports which I believe is essential to utilize this unit properly). There are five (5) USB ports at the rear, which I can easily connect to other accessories (such as keyboard, mouse, external hard drives). There are several USB ports up front as well for quick connection to external devices (digital camera, GoPro, USB sticks) as well.Overall, this is a powerful docking station that not only looks great, but handles a lot as well!
