Well designed sturdy kit
Really solid piece of kit. Large display and protective case. Unfortunately I had to return it because when fitting batteries and replacing battery cover the display would blank, on removing battery cover, display returned. Pity, I am sure otherwise it would have been spot on.

This works great for me. Does exactly what it says on the tin. I find the quality to be good and after the calibrating I find it very accurate too. Very pleased with this

seems to be a pretty good tester
As I gain more experience with home electrics, I am adding to my collection of related tools. Test meters are generally horrendously expensive so here we have a much more budget friendly alternative.The range of testing voltages is 250v - 1000v DC and up to 750v AC and measures up to 200Megohms so it goes beyond normal domestic parameters. The display is large and clear and has switchable backlight which is very handy. Given the price point it is more manual that the pro level meters these days but that is only to be expected. In addition to testing the insulatin resistance, it also has a continuity tester (always handy) and a voltmeter.I'm a bit new to all the testing of domestic circuits, but once you understand the basics and with a bit of care it is suprprising what you can diagnose with this meter. I would say however that I an hesitant to rely on it being properly in calibration, and as I am a little unsure of whether extreme values can be trusted.This tester isn't really for the casual electrical tinkerer, the correct use requires a bit of knowledge, not to mention understanding of safety procedures as the risk of shock is obviously high if you are careless when using it. Its not a device that you would use for anything other than what it is designed for. So that said, I have found it a useful addition to my testers and when funds allow I will upgrade to a more professional tester.

Calibration
Way out of calibration and at some ranges it does not meet the ISO current/voltage output requirements. Choose a better brand and not this Chinese generic type model
