You had bettter be a long time cook to use this one!!
I love to cook and am very good at it. This book looked like a good book to start of with since I got the Express cooker. Good grief, what a problem!!! Some one dropped the ball big time on this one. The editing is almost non-existent, if any was done at all. Where do you use ten pounds of beef for one recipe? Why would you use 3 tablespoons of chili and then use 1 teaspoon of the same thing? When a recipe calls for a piece of ginger, how much is a piece? Why are titles printed on one page and the recipe is listed on the next page? Why is the cooking time not aligned with the actual cooking time? Why are the instructions not given in the order of preparation? I just opened the book to the chicken recipes and out of 12 recipes, 10 of them needed editing for various reasons.I have advised all of the people that have bought this book, on my recommendation, to make sure they read and re-read all recipes for errors before they use them.I think the recipes are good in general, but Good Grief!!! who ran this publishing? I won't refer this book to anyone who isn't a long time cook to use and who knows a thing or two about cooking. The general writing is not that good either.

This book is a hot mess
Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. I just discovered the 10 lbs of beef for stroganoff that serves 4 as well...with 4 ounces of mushrooms (recipe #32). Jeeze! Beef and Lamb are grouped together.. I feel like they should be separated or at least all the beef listed first, but it's a jumble. And NOTHING is in alphabetic order, so you have to search all over with your eyeballs for what you're looking for. And no pictures...I like pictures. Plus typos..#82 "hicken sandwiches" # 227 "with lemon sauce" --it's artichokes btw. And then the index with page #s as one reviewer noted, but no pages are numbered and I found myself looking up a recipe by page # multiple times. This was very sloppily put together and I just set up a return. This book is too much work already & I haven't even tried anything, PLUS now wonder about the measurements. I'm a newby with pressure cooking...I need my hand held and this book ain't cuttin' it.

Most recipes on the web for free.
Bought this book because of the reviews. Obviously none of the other reviewers have even looked at the book. Just to be fair I have purchased the book and only looked at the book I have not attempted any of the recipes in the book. At this point I am not sure I want to.My first look at the book I flipped to the TOC like most would. I found a recipe that I thought sounded good and the TOC listed it on page 79. That would be great except there are no page numbers in the entire book! None not a single one. So the author put time into creating a TOC but didn't bother to put page numbers on the pages. The layout is troublesome as well. The recipes are not all on one page and often run onto the next page or start in the middle. As well as blank pages right in the middle of the book. Not a deal breaker, but you should be aware before purchasing this book. The next thing I was looking at was the massive typos. I only thumbed through the book and found two already. 10 pounds of beef to server 4 people? Not really sure about that one. This lead me to look closer at the recipes in the book. I Googled a couple and came up with the exact recipe listed in the book. Not sure how that one works, but I guess that is ok with the recipe owners and copyright holder.Probably a good collection of recipes to save time going all over the web, but probably not worth the money.

CAUTION ***** BOOK NEEDS SERIOUS PROOF READING
This book needs some very serious proof reading. Apparently this step was completely overlooked. There are letters missing in words, items missing in the ingredients, and even instructions missing as to when add more ingredients to the balance of the recipe. I would caution anyone on the purchase of this cookbook unless you like to "fill in the blanks" when using

** The Crock Pot Express Cookbook **i grab this book for me to know this Crockpot Express.I found here that this Crockpot Express don't have a manual setting which at first I am disappointed because I find it not easy to use. However, the manufacturer recommends using the chili function when using a recipe that calls for manual adjustment which is great because it allows me to adjust the pressure to low and high. I can also set and manage the time of what I like to.

Patrick King & Roy Fisher must be the same person. This cookbook is no better than the one for which I just received a credit and has the same recipes. Who in their right mind uses 10 pounds of beef to make stroganoff????? Once again, measurements are off, there are no page numbers as indexed, only recipe numbers. Very disappointing. If I could give it less than one star, I would have. I am a chef and I know what I'm doing, just looking for a little guidance with a new product.

You have to get this book if you own an express crock pot. Chicken, crab legs, and even duck can be made without so much stress. It is so nice to have a nice family dinner. I highly recommend that you get this before you next family event!

I think the book is just fine, it just wasn't what I was needing
I think the book is just fine, it just wasn't what I was needing. I needed a more break down or step by step instruction on operating the Crock Pot express itself.

Better than the Instapot!
This thing does it all, and it's so easy to use -plus half the price of a comparable Instapot.
