As sensors go, this unit is a decent price and has the added bonus of an LCD display that alternates between temperature and humidity. Compared to readings from the same suite of Mobile Alerts units, the figures are a little inconsistent, but probably not enough to make it worthless. Frankly, I'm yet to find any two sensors that seem to read the same!If intended for indoor use, this should be fine but outdoor use is a different story. It is not at all weather proof and would need to be mounted in a proper external sensor housing to protect it from the elements.

I now have four temperature and humidity monitors (garage, wine fridge, greenhouse,lounge) plus one temperature only device (came with the hub, now in the shed).The key points here are the distances and impediments from the hub: one is in a fridge, in a garage, about 20m from the hub whilst another is in the garage itself; two are through at least 5 or 6 walls which is 4 rooms and 1 storey, and about 35m away; and the lounge one is through a wall.That's impressive range, especially when compared to bluetooth, which I tried and did not work at all.You get data wherever your phone connects to the internet, work, shopping, holiday, and no doubt to the delight of people in a cinema too! The app for my android phone was easy to download and set up. Do follow the instructions, get the hub working before putting batteries in the measurement units. The phone data updates every 7 minutes, though occasionally a device will disappear from view for up to 2 hours. Without fail they have brought themselves back online. Because you can set rules where you are alerted when certain boundaries are reached, and you can clearly see trends when the devices are online, this is not an issue for me. I can see when the greenhouse is hot, and turn on a fan or open the window remotely. I can see when the humidity in the wine fridge is too low and put some water in it (manually, not cracked automating that yet!) - and so on.I also ran all the divices in the same place for a week (alongside a manual thermometer) to see if they all agreed. They were all close enough for my liking (0.2°).This set up has really provided the data I need. I believe the data can be exported via a cloud app (for free) but I have yet to try this.All in all, very impressed with this whole system and I will undoubtedly buy some more, and different, devices - such as water sensors and door opening monitors.Definitely worth it.

Dead easy to load onto my existing system. Checked accuracy and it's spot on. Love it and buying more

This is a good little unit. I have it in a garden shed to check temperature and humidity. It connected easily to my hub in the house even though it was 20M between them. Very impressed.
