Works for a man too. But your expectations must be realistic.
I'm pretty sure this product is not designed or marketed to males, but I started to have some real problem areas and this is one of the very few precision epilatiors available so I thought I would give it a try. I've tried trimmed, chemical hair removers, and I have tried waxing, and this is the best solution I found so far by a wide margin. You must use common sense whether you're a male or a female and don't use this thing on very sensitive parts like your eyelashes or your genitals. If you're a dude don't try to trim your beard with the thing. And look at how tiny this thing is so if the area you're working on is much bigger, you have to understand that this was not made to do your back, your legs or even your kneecaps. This was made for a very tiny areas of very fine hair.In my case I got it for my ears. I have many fine hairs is growing from the lobes of my ears. This thing did the job almost perfectly. It is not a razor or a trimmer in that one pass doesn't cut it. You have to go slowly and patiently back-and-forth over each area and it's going to hurt. It's pulling your hair out so there's no way around the fact that it's going to hurt. It's going to make your skin red and it's going to sting pretty badly. But it doesn't last more than 15 minutes and the results are quite worth the suffering.Instead of having to trim my ears every couple of days this gives me several weeks worth of smooth hairless ears. It also works in the area in between my eyebrows and on my nose but not in my nose. If you're willing to put this thing inside of your nose then maybe you shouldn't be allowed to play with power tools.Delicate is the keyword here. You must only use it for delicate hair, and you must use it delicately and gently.I imagine for most women this would work for their typical problem areas, being the chin, cheeks, and upper lip, wherever delicate peachfuzz grows. But I can see that in cases such as legs or the bottom of the chin where there are courser hairs or larger areas, , you need to go ahead and pluck or use a larger epilator like one designed for the legs.So I give this five stars and I am a very picky consumer. But there are a few caveats.1. I am a man and I bought this for my ears and I'm rating it based on how it works with my ears. The hair on my ears is generally fine, so I think it will work for women.2. I cannot speak to the durability of this device but I will keep my review updated. Like many small trimmers it seems a bit cheap, plasticky, and non-durable. But the business end of this thing seems rather well constructed.3. It's painful and it's a long process. In the case of my ears they're not very wide but they are long around the circumference, so it took about 20 minutes for each ear. You have to go back-and-forth over and over each particular area, and it is not made for large patches of anything. With these things in mind I am very pleased with the results.

Works well for a really affordable price.
I don't have the time nor the inclination to remove my upper lip hair everyday. So a facial hair remover like Flawless etc weren't the right thing for me. I had bought the Bellabe epilator that's basically a long, tightly wounded spring. I honestly bought it because it was cheaper than buying a whole set of Braun (I already had Phillips Satinelle). Over time I realized that this spring like epilator was working well only over my upper lip. It was exhausting to get the hairs out from near the corners of lips and honestly I used my Phillips on my face (which you really shouldn't because it's irritating to the skin and causes inflammation and consequently hyperpigmentation. Skin calming creams with niacin amide or aloe didn't work when the irritation is this much in my case).I had to find a better solution. The Venus face epilator seemed to be the only option available on the market and I ended up buying it because of that. I have used it twice, and honestly? It works well and gets almost all my upper lip hair out. I have not tried it on my peach fuzz on the rest of my face but it's not that big a problem for me. I also got two batteries with the product. That will last me sometime and I am very impressed. Remember to clean the epilator head and apply soothing lotion or gel on the epilated skin after the process.

Amazing! Fast-Tweezing for the Lazy of Us :)
I hate tweezing my eyebrows. It takes forever. So, I spent years just letting them grow crazy and then every few months losing my mind and going for a wax. Well, I got tired of people screwing up the waxing and leaving me with hairs to tweeze anyway. I'm so glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews here because...This works FLAWLESSLY. I used it on my eyebrows, the bridge of my nose, and my chin (only a few hairs there). It feels like some quick tweezing—not so bad, really. It left my skin less angry and red than if I'd done a million individual tweezes. It took a little getting used to the correct angle to hold it at, and how to switch angles for different eyebrows. I also don't recommend using this on dense hair you're trying to remove. Maybe that's the problem some people have had. It definitely revs up when you try it on a dense patch. For me, I don't have tons of hair, so it works perfectly. No more wild eyebrows. I only had a few little hairs to tweeze when I was done for shaping—fewer than if I'd paid to get waxed.I also love the little cleaning brush that comes with it, and the cap to protect the tweezing mechanism is a nice touch.I AM SO EXCITED. No more wild eyebrows for me!
