This is really a good battery, I initially received a faulty product which was replaced and I have to admit this is a good battery, at leadt as good as my original Makita unit which is a 4ah battery.The only thing I would say about this unit after testing it multiple times that the Amperage should be reduced to reflect the actual capacity which is 4ah at a push.If this was done people would not be dissatisfied and in fact purchase these units as they are a fraction of the cost of a genuine Makita plus the battery has a built in capacity checker so you can visually see how much charge is left.It is a great product however as I said if they renamed this as 4ah unit many people would buy this and be very happy.The reviewer

I purchased two of these to replace the standard 2ah and they last all day on impact and drill actually I got two days from them under normal working conditions. being new to dewalt tools I lent one to a colleague who has used dewalt for years he reported back saying it gave him better torque and lasted all day where as his dewalt ONLY LASTS ABOUT 3/4 OF A DAY on average about an hour to charge. I have place an order for a further 2 as I have purchased a skill saw and want the best return for my money these will give me two hours constant running time cutting 4x2 at some stage I will invest in a double charger.

Straight away I noticed that the batteries were lighter than the original Makita items. I was dubious about this and wondered if the would effect quality. Once fitted to various tools, I noticed they were a little looser and able to move slightly. The worst part was they were only charged 2 or 3 times before a fault developed and would no longer accept a charge. When they were working, the charge didn't last as long as I would have expected.

Great product...my other half needed a new battery bought this and it's great...charges well and holds the charge fits well to...item was well packed and arrived on time would highly recommend this product...

Worked perfectly in Brazil though the light is very bright in a dark room if left plugged in overnight.Also useful as a spare UK plug USB charger
