LogitechC310 HD WebcamCarbon Neutral Certified by SCS Global Services

I bought this to replace an old webcam which must be 8-10 years old and was starting to show its' age. Having looked around I found several likely candidates on eBay at very low prices, but I was convinced by their sales patter '30 Mbit webcam'? I don't think so. So I opted for a tried and tested source - Amazon. When I buy a consumable item I tend to go for a middle price as I don't want to spend the earth on something that will quickly go out of date, but equally I don't want something that is cheap and not very cheerful either.Logitech is a known brand to me (had two of their webcams, a trackball, mouse and joystick previously) so I know what I'm getting when I buy in terms of quality. The C310 HD does not disappoint in any respect. Removed old drivers to avoid any conflict and plugged it in. Windows 7 Pro x64 immediately saw it and installed drivers to get it up and running. Now, a lot of hardware manufacturers will tell you 'You don't need drivers, Windows [whatever] will install them itself', and so it did here *BUT* it only installed the generic Windows webcam drivers. I found it in Device Manager as a 'USB video source'. Common sense (and 20 years experience) suggests you don't get the full performance out of a peripheral using generic drivers - in much the same way you won't get full performance from a sports car if you don't give it a specialist service, and the right fuel. So I installed the full set of drivers and software off the supplied CD and it is now recognised properly as a Logitech C310 HD by the PC. Among the included software is Logitech's own VidHD which presumably can be used between two cameras with the same software. I intend to use it on Skype (which seems quite happy with it) so haven't bothered, but one other fun inclusion to keep the kids amused is a selection of filters to give the video wacky effects - from negative to a 'fairground mirror' effect. One foible before I leave the software. My email client is Thunderbird, but in the Logitech software the option to email a snapshot is unavailable as it claims I have no email client installed. Clearly wrong but I wonder what email clients it supports / expects?Now then to the meat of the issue. Video and audio quality. Extremely impressed! The video is crisp and clear, as you'd expect from a 720p capable camera, the images are well lit - even in my room with the usual sullen British weather and no artificial lighting - well if you're going to test it, make it a good one! :) Audio is perfectly fine with all the usual adjustments to both A/V possible.All in all a very good buy and thoroughly recommended!

I teach English via Skype and use my webcam every day so I thought I'd invest in a relatively inexpensive HD webcam. I decided against full HD as it wouldn't make that much different via Skype anyway (bandwidth limitations, etc.). I like to do my research before purchasing new devices and most sites I went on ranked the Logitech C310 slightly better the Microsoft Cinema HD.The video quality is really good and from what my students tell me, so is the sound. The noise reduction feature seems to work well. Sometimes the RightLight function can make the colours in the background look a little off (I have green curtains), but you can always turn this tool off.My only issue with this device is the software (running on Win 7). It lags sometimes and freezes. If you like masks and other silly stuff, then you might be disappointed - couldn't get those to work with my webcam. The other video effects still work though and the zoom/pan functions are fairly good. In the photos, it looks as though this cam sits flat against the screen. However, this is not the case - it sticks out approx. 1-1.5cm. Not a problem though - still looks fine and sits quite firmly on the top of the screen.I'd recommend this cam to anyone looking for quality on a budget.

I was happy with my old webcam till there was a baby in the family. Low resolution video simply didn't satisfy anyone. I wasn't interested in selling my old laptop, and so an upgrade wasn't on the books yet. That meant buying a high resolution, budget webcam. Amazon was selling this webcam at less than half the high street prices. That was my main reason for buying this camera.I can safely say I am more than impressed with this camera -Pros:- It delivers very good quality video. Even on a laptop that has a 1.6 ghz processor with 1gb ram.- Worked with skype etc even before I installed the program that came with it- The features that I didn't know I needed, but now can't do without - face tracking & zooming - very quick, rarely wrong, and more intelligent than asking the baby to sit still!- Wide angled frame means you can include several people sitting in a room without needing them to crowd each otherCons:- The camera doesn't really grip the monitor well, and so might fall off if you place your laptop, well, on your lap and move a bit.- Unlike some webcams, it is not possible to shut the lid completely while the webcam is attached to the monitor.- There is a significant drop in image resolution if I chose to use the built in mic simultaneously. This is probably because of the low specs on my laptop and so I use the built in laptop mike.- Unboxing was a bit annoying, and unless one is entirely sure that they would not be sending it back in it's original packing, patience is recommended.Other features:Different coloured fascia available, but you can't change fascias, so be sure you like the design you buyThe software allows for some other modifications - re lighting etc, backgrounds etc...in the long run no one seems to use it.Note: I've dropped the cam a few times - baby pulled on the wire, cam slipped from thje monitor as I lifted the laptop etc.....no breakage, chipping or failure of mechanical parts yet...but that doesn't excues the fact that the clip system is unintuitiveIn Summary:This is an excellent webcam for the amazon seller price. No faults re: image quality. Useful facetracking feature. Possible to ignore minor annoyances. Enjoy!!

Once you get this in the correct position it works very well, but a bit more thought and practicality at the design stage would probably sorted out the major fault which is keeping it in place. I have always found Logitech kit reasonable and easy to set up and use so I feel let down with this purchase.

J'ai mis 5 étoiles car j'ai reçu cette petite caméra rapidement et en très bon état. Cependant, le logiciel d'installation n'était pas fourni, il m'a fallu chercher sur internet, je n'ai pas eu trop de difficultés pour la faire fonctionner bien que je ne sois pas très fort en informatique. Je l'ai posée sans problème sur mon écran; l'image est assez nette et le rendu des couleurs est acceptable. Sur les conseils d'un internaute (que je remercie), j'ai installé Skype et non Logitech Vid HD. Je vais essayer d'établir un premier contact dans les prochains jours. Je conseille cette petite caméra, elle est facile d'utilisation et le prix est correct.

Che dire? Questa webcam, oltre ad essere economica, è anche di ottima qualità. L'installazione è semplicissima (io l'ho fatta su Windows 7 home premium): inserite il cavo in una porta usb ed è pronta all'utilizzo. È impressionante come riesca a gestire ogni tipo di illuminazione. Per quanto riguarda la qualità dell'immagine, è più che soddisfacente.Tuttavia una cosa mi ha lasciato un po' perplesso: la collaborazione di amazon con le poste italiane. Avevo fatto l'ordine lunedì 3 novembre verso le 17. Giovedì 6 il pacco era già nella mia città e il giorno dopo il postino era passato a consegnarlo, ma non ero in casa. Allora ho preso lo scontrino che il postino mi aveva lasciato per ritirare il pacco all'ufficio. Lunedì 10 sono andato a ritirare il pacco: ho dovuto aspettare un'ora nonostante non ci fosse alcuna fila, ma gli impiegati erano impegnati a compilare delle scartoffie. Insomma, tutto sommando mi è andata bene, ma non so quanto questa collaborazione possa giovare alla reputazione di amazon. Si sa che le poste non sono proprio velocissime e il corriere viene solo una volta e vi lascia un foglio perché voi poi andiate a ritirare il pacco di persona in un ufficio, dove spesso si affrontano file lunghissime(anche se non è stato il mio caso). Amazon mi è sempre piaciuta proprio per la sua serietà in termini di consegna, oltre a quella di assistenza, ma con questa mossa, a mio parere, rischiano di perdere dei clienti.

Estaba buscando una cámara web para mi "viejo" equipo de sobremesa (Pentium 4), y en particular un modelo que me sirviera tanto para Windows 7 como para Ubuntu 11.10 (linux). Buscando en los foros recomendaban este modelo por tener un precio atractivo y por dar buenos resultados en ambos sistemas operativos.La instalación en Windows ha ido sin problemas, con el CD de controladores + software que incluye el producto. Después el mismo programa detecta las posibles actualizaciones que encuentre y las instala. Bajo Ubuntu, la "pilla" a la primera, por lo que me doy por satisfecho.La calidad de imagen/vídeo es buena, aunque no haya probado la opción de HD al no soportarla mi equipo.Sobre el precio, inmejorable, porque la misma cámara en otros comercios la he visto a unos 39 euros.

En relación calidad precio esta genial, es muy dificil hacerse con una webcam que tenga buena calidad y no tenga un precio desorbitado, y aunque ésta no tiene hd, se ve bastante bien, ya llevo unos cuantos meses con ella (tras mirar muchas opiniones), y estoy encantada, el micro capta muy bien la voz para hablar por plataformas tipo Discord, Curse o TS, y aisla bien del ruido. Para hacer Skype la calidad de la imágen varia según la luz que tengas en la habitación, pero con luz natural de día se ve bastante bien.
