I bought this because the bobbin winder on my sewing machine has stopped working and it was cheaper to buy this than get it repaired. Brilliant little device and it means I can keep sewing without having to stop and re-thread my machine.

The winder works fine with batteries but the adapter it came with is American and cannot be used in the uk which makes it useless. Disappointing.

A very useful product which does the job. American plug but works well with UK adapter. Saves on sewing machine motor. Always available to fill bobbins without having to unthread machine.

I bought this because the bobbin winder on my machine doesnt work properly any more and I'm so glad I did. It is very efficient and easy to use. Its more convenient than my machine one because you don't have to unthread the cotton you are using if you need to rethread the bobbin. I would recommend this product.

The automatic stop doesn't work and the adapter is 120v, 60hz which is not used in this country and I have been informed could potentially be very dangerous had I used it. It also has two thin metal strips where the plug should be. I am very disappointed with receiving an item which is well advertised but is not up to the standard I expected

Dead on arrival. Request for return denied as time had elapsed - not my fault - it sat in customs and took them forever to release it. So I buy it, pay 26 euros VAT, then it arrives dead (it’s junk) and I’m out every dime. Strongly suggest you do not buy.

Although this was a present for my wife, she has shown me how it works and I think I could use this item with ease

first class but mains supply pack is for 110 volts would you rectify same as it was a christmas extra present for our daughter.otherwise first class j.c.

I became interested in this bobbin winder after watching a review of how it worked and saved wear and tear on my sewing machine. I priced this at a big box store and a fabric/craft store - prices were both higher than Amazon, so I bought it here. So why am I giving it 2 stars? Well the concept is great but the bobbin tension sucks. I ended up with looped thread throughout the thread layers and had to re-wind on my sewing machine (or throw away all that thread).

Definitely not something kids can use - I was hoping my child would be able to use this to wind my bobbins for me as it is a favorite chore. . . It lacks the power to wind a bobbin efficiently, winds in the opposite direction for some reason - if it wound in the other direction it would be much more effective at accomplishing it's goals. And the plug does not fit into the box. There is plenty of empty space inside of the case where a cavity could have been created to hold the cord and plug, but the company failed to provide this meaning that the bobbin winder is not truly portable - unless you wish to use it exclusively with batter power. Elsewise you risk losing the cord altogether.I will say that if I HELD the thread at just the right angle, just the right tension, and moved it slightly up and down to enable it to cover the entire bobbin rather than winding onto only the top portion of the bobbin, it did end up filling the bobbin with thread, but it was wound much looser than the winder on my sewing machine and it's frankly too much work. If you absolutely cannot use the winder on your machine you could probably make do with this one as an absolute last resort, but it's frankly not worth your time or money if there is any other option available to you.

I am disappointed. I watched the video ( as I always do ) and it was not the same product I received. I was expecting the side winder in the video.The one I did get feels cheap, and when I try to use it my spool just vibrates and spins erratically. The bobbin does not wind evenly either, the bottom part gets hardly any thread wrapped on it. It's all up at the top! I have adjusted my tension, switched how it was threaded, and tried different bobbins and spools. This thing just was not worth the $25 I shelled out... I was not expecting WOW quality but I was expecting something usable. Since the trash already picked up, the box is gone so I don't even know if I can return it without the packaging.Insult to injury? The postman that delivered the package DROPPED it over my fence. The fence was unlatched and easy to open... they were just rude and lazy and chose to DROP it over the fence and leave the package in plain view. I have security cameras and have that on footage. Talk about disrespectful! I know this is not the seller's fault, but something to consider when choosing your shipping options.I didn't want to pay $75 to have my bobbin winder on my machine fixed, guess I should have. :/

I started to order the replacement part, but had my doubts about being able to open the case, replace the bobbin winder or my Brother CS 6000 and get it back together and still have it in working order. Given the difficulty of even finding a professional to service the machine, this little gadget is just what I needed. It works well.

This is the worst “cheaply built” “toy” you can imagine. I read the reviews and took a chance on the positive reviews. Don’t waste your time on this! Thank goodness for Amazon’s wonderful return policy. Winds bobbin for PFAFF backwards. Cannot be used as PFAFF bobbins can’t be loaded upside down. For my Singer, bobbins work but tension is unpredictable and loads bobbins unevenly. I also think that the stop start button is chintzy - gets “stuck” and will not readily stop when needed.If it were more beefy, would be a great tool in my sewing studio, but this is jut a cheap toy.
