Great lean protien
I received this product as a free sample to test from buzzagent and I am very pleased with it. I have used several other protein powders from PhD and bulk powders and this stacks up well. The chocolate flavour is very good. It is thick but not too creamy, it is not powdery at all. It is a lean product but that doesn't affect the flavour. It is easy to mix and great to drink. It doesn't feel 'heavy' on the stomach so you can train hard, no bloating or Sicky feeling. There is a solid 30g of protein and only 5g of carbohydrates which is great as it isn't bulked up. If you want a mass builder this won't be for you as it is deliberately light on carbs as I find it all to easy to get more than enough carbs in my daily diet so a light product is great for me! Its not a wonder product, but its good quality protein and if you put the effort in, it will support your training.

Not up to the usual Maxi standard.
Maximuscle (Or Maxinutrution now) are known to be the best there is out there. That doesn't filter down to this product though. After getting back into the gym after a long gap, a decent protein blend works wonders. I know how to train, and I know how to eat, and I know what works best for me.Anyway, I profess this was a bit of a gamble purchase, as I included in with a couple of tubs of Progain and Promax. I just wanted to see what it's like, as a simple box of protein I'd use it up anyway. This is not up to par with other Maxi products. They are obviously wanting to get into the lower end of the market with this one, and it shows.Nutritional value wise, it's poor and is loaded with carbs - 14 grams of which is just sugar. There's more carbs in a serving as there is protein. At the time if writing, Promax was better value on a cost per gram of protein basis. Then you have the additional BCAA and Glutamine on top of that.I'll keep this and use it as a pre-workout shake, put the sugar to some use.But honestly, this is a stain on the maxinutrition brand. It was such a reliable brand that you'd just be able to go by the product name (cyclone, progain, promax, etc) and you'd be confident you'd be getting the real deal, albeit at a price. With this I was hoping for a simple, but pure, protein powder. And it's mostly carbs.I suppose it's better suited to high endurance/CV sports peeps who'll burn the carbs (runners, tennis players, etc), but for much else, spend a little extra and get the decent Maxi stuff.Perhaps, as I usually do with anything else, I should have studied the specs - not something I've had to do with Maxi up until now.

Disappointing Considering The Reviews
As one of Amazon's bestselling protein powders, I expected something really quite tasty and soemthing with good versatility. By this point I had already tried several PHD Powders and Bulk Powders, all of which were delicious, high protein, low carb and low calorie (macro ratios being important to me) and around £14-18 per kg. I was quite disappointed with this product. As soon as you open the pack, there's a strange sort of chemical smell which is absent in other protein powders I've had. It's bitty when drank as a protein shake, and it's taste is okay. As someone who also tracks their macro and calorie intake, I felt the calories were higher than other protein powders I've had for a smaller 20g of protein. For a few pounds more I'd much rather continue to use Bulk/PhD powders which haven't had anything wrong with them.

Mixes well and tastes good and gets good results.
Bought for my adult sons. One is an avid rugby player and sports student at uni, the other a soldier in the British army. Both wanted protein powder to aid in muscle recovery after strenuous exercise. This does a good job, is easy to mix, mixes to a good (not gritty) consistency and tastes great. More importantly it’s informed sport certified, so they can use it knowing they won’t get into any trouble. They both like it, it tastes good and gets the results they want.

Much improved less chalky tasting shake
This is one of my favourite Nutrition shakes. It used to be 2 scoops per serving now it appears to be one and as a result it is much less chalky in taste and texture when consuming. Generally my energy levels have increased dramatically since I started using this on a daily basis. I'd advise not to take this after lunch time if you plan on having a good nights sleep as the caffeine levels can mess you around a little.

Decent for a starter but i'd just go for whey.
It did me well and lasted most of the year actually. I used half a scoop every time I went to the gym (3-4 times a week) and made good progress throughout the year.I now use whey impact and I can say that the whey tastes nicer, mixes quicker and feels better. Not to mention I got 2.5x the amount of protein for the same price as this product. It's good but theres better in my opinion.
