Great Budget Gaming Monitor
Been using this Benq GL2460 for a few weeks now. Avid CS:GO player and this monitor came recommended by a Steam friend.Gotta say, this is a great monitor for the price.Only thing it lacks for perfection is an HDMI connection (Only DVI-D and VGA).However, this is the 'budget' version of the 2460. If you *need* to have that HDMI, you have to go with the GL2460HM and spend and extra £20 or so.Picture:I really can't find a fault with this. The colours are very good. Even without using the built-in options to tweak it. I did set it to the 'Game' preset after a while of use and liked that one. Very crisp. Other than that, I haven't messed around too much with the menu. Images are sharp and distinct. Pairs really well with my 6970 and I can only assume the quality gets better with the newer cards on the market. The 2ms response time is amazing. I suppose you can't tell too much difference from another monitor with <5ms, but when comparing with my old monitor, it seems....I dunno....more 'fluid' is the closest I can come to explaining it.Sound:Does not include speakers. Look for the GL2460HM if that's a deal-breaker for you. I use a headset anyway, so this was never an issue, personally.Build Quality:Surprisingly, the lightweight stand is very stable once the screen's weight presses onto it.I was initially disappointed when I got it out of the box. Thought my screen would be bouncing all over the place, since I'm a heavy-handed typist. Even with a cheap, flexible desk, the monitor is completely stable.Slight gripe about the glossy plastic surrounding the monitor. Gets slightly distracting on a sunny day or with the indoor lighting on. Not a huge issue, just a little cosmetic thing I don't like.Accessories:Comes with a VGA cable and a driver disk. Personally, I'd prefer it to come with the DVI, since I feel that VGA is outdated. I had an HDMI cable, so I popped out and bought a £10 HDMI/DVI-D adaptor. Just a heads up that you'll need to look into getting another cable if you don't have any others handy.Overall:Looking back, I feel I should have gone with the GL246HM to get the HDMI connection. Still, if your budget is already stretched, like mine was, this is a perfect solution for a monitor at the £100-mark. Would recommend it to my friends for PC gaming, graphic design, and generally anyone that would like to have a high-quality monitor.Star-rating for me would be more 4.6/5. Having to buy a DVI-D cable if you don't have any to spare or your GPU doesn't have a VGA-out really doesn't make this a perfect buy. That, and for £20 more you can get the HM version with better connections and speakers.

Full review + setup settings. Lovely Monitor
There are varying versions of this monitor; I went with the thin bezel DVI input as it most suited my needs.I have used this monitor long enough that I can now write a product review. I purchased this as i was looking for a setup for gaming and I was previously using a 32” TV and wanted a more permanent base. After countless hours of research, reviews and product forums, i opted for this as it was a) in my price range and b) getting good reviewsoverviewSetup of this product can be really tricky, there are much pricier monitors that are perfect right out of the box, but at the end of the day I didn't want to spend more money and would rather spend some time tinkering and finding perfect settings for my needs (if I can save money)The monitor is light weight, feels sturdy and looks fantastic, especially the thin design; it makes the screen seem bigger.Out of the boxThere are few things to put together such as the stand that clips in and of course plugging in the cables. I must note this only comes with VGA cable so you’ll need to purchase and additional cable to run HDMI. There is a manual and CD setup within the box, but it will use standard drivers, so no need for the CD setupSetting upThis is where you have to spend a few extra minutes. As mentioned previously it doesn’t look great out of the box, so you’ll need to spend a bit of time getting it right. I found the following settings seem to look great for gamingBrightness – 100% (or close to)Contrast – 50 (or close to)Sharpness – 3GAMA – 3AMA – OFFConclusionA monitor that is well worth the money, very happy with the price and purchase, Ben-Q could have put more effort into their standard settings so I didn't have to sit playing around with it to find a good setup, but for the price I can’t really argue with the monitor

Very Impressed, Especially For the Price
Arrived very quickly the day after (with amazon prime free one day delivery), and was very well packaged. The monitor has a nice sleek design and I think it would fit in nicely in pretty much any computer set up. I use this as the primary monitor in my home studio, and the widescreen has been really helpful for looking at waveform audio tracks, it has allowed me to see much more horizontal lenghth of an audio track displayed on the screen compared to my previous 19 inch 4:3 monitor. The colours look nice and vivid, and the 1080p display makes it nice to look at what my computer is displaying in full HD. Although I am using a VGA connection the picture still looks sharp and crisp. The brightness is also another positive, it is more than sufficient. In most cases, I don't think it would need to go above 50%.The controls on the monitor to control brightness, contrast, etc are straightforward and easy to use.The price is also one of the best things about it, for just over £100, I would not have expected to have a 24 inch full HD monitor with decent build quality, but this purchase certainly proved me wrong. There aren't really any signifacant faults to this monitor, although when switching it off, I sometimes press the wrong button because they are located behind the monitor, but this issue is so insignificant it's hardly worth mentioning. Also it would have been nice to have a HDMI port aswell, but i guess you can buy a HDMI to DVI cable for about the same price as a HDMI cable anyway.Overall I am very pleased with the monitor and would recommend it if you are looking for a good monitor.
