When Good Ghouls Go Bad

I had this movie back in the VHS days and have never been able to replace it. I figured I'd gamble when I came across this seller and it was the best nostalgic purchase ever. Case was in decent condition,disk in mint condition and played through with no freezes or skips. Super happy!

This is another great family film based on a book by none other than the Horror King for Kids, R. L. Stine. It's a charming offering, nothing short of great Halloween fun for everyone in the family. I suppose children younger than 5 or so might not be keen on the grandfather (Christopher Lloyd, who by the way, was fantastic in this)coming back from the dead as a zombie, even though it's really quite comical. Truthfully, it got my 6 year old to ask some intruiging questions about life, death and heaven. She didn't seem frightened in the least, and I think the ending scenes of the dead dancing with the fireflys and gently waltzing into dust was oddly comforting. It was funny, it was scary, it was great family fun and as it turns out, is a favorite amongst many teenagers we are acquainted with. R. L. Stine is always a favorite with kids, and this movie won't disappoint his many fans.

My sister and I have great memories watching this movie when it came out on Fox Family (then ABC family then Freeform) in 2001. Christopher Lloyd can't make a bad movie. I'll admit it's slightly cheesy but the plot and history of the story was very well thought-out. This is a very underrated movie and I'm surprised it hasn't stuck around as part of the channel's 31 Nights od Halloween. Perhaps it was due to the disappearance od the lead child actor five years after its release. But "There are worlds beyond this world, Kankel.. times beyond this time..." = Iconic!

This is a wonderful family movie. Christopher Lloyd does a wonderful job (as usual). My grandchildren and I all love it. It is just scary enough, but funny too. It might be to scary for small children. I would say it's great for ages 6-7 and up. A great Halloween movie you never get tired of watching. My first one got misplaced, so I made sure I replaced it. This is a movie I want to make sure I have in my movie library.

Been looking for this movie for a while now. One of the many movies I've bought used off of Amazon, but the only one I've gotten wheres it actually "Like New"
