Workes Very Well
I had been using CBD oil for sleep and mild pain control. I found it worked on and off. I switched over to the California Poppy after doing some reading - I had fantastic results right away. It is a bit strong on it's own as far as flavor. I was waiting for about 45 mins with the CBD oil to feel the calming - the CA Poppy was within 10 mins. I found that my sleep was much deeper as well with the CA poppy. I have not used it for pain as of yet - just sleep. My Son was using Melatonin and I asked him to try this. He also said his sleep was deeper with CA Poppy and he did not feel groggy the next day. Also his anxiety has calmed down as well. I would recommend this for anyone looking for better sleep and something to give a relaxing state, not for pain relief.

Anxious? Try this!
Great for an anxious racing mind. Use before bed for a moment of silence. Perfect quality, this brand is my go to for tincitures! It's so easy to use and fast acting!

Effective
I have used this as sleep enhancing remedy for several months and find it quite effective. I tried Californai Poppy capsules and they do not do the job. I take one dropper full of this extract in a cup of chamomile tea about an hour before sleep. Straight chamomile does nothing. The poppy seems to help me wake up on time and be more alert, not over sleep, so it may be helping the quality of sleep. I dislike the high alcohol level and the taste is truly vile, that is the reason for four stars. Herb Pharm has proved to be a reliable company of quality extracts but they don't make California Poppy in a glycerin, non alcohol form. I still recommend this and suggest putting it in an herb tea to avoid the taste.

Product does not work for me.
"CALIFORNIA POPPY" by Herb Pharm, is supposed to produce calmness and a restful sleep. This did none of that but gave me insomnia producing a restless sleep and overreactive mind. I tried this twice taking a dropper full about an hour before bedtime as directed on the bottle. It did not produce any of the desired effect that I was seeking, rather the symptoms previously mentioned. I missed the return date to send this back to Amazon by 2 days so I am stuck with it. I would give zero stars for this tincture if I could. It gets just the 1 star. I am going to give the same kind of review for another Herb Pharm product - "VALERIAN." This also does not work as indicated on the bottle.

For the sleepless!
I'm a high-energy person, and have had trouble sleeping a consistent 6-8hr night for many years now. Through those years, I've tried everything from Tylenol PM to Ambien to working out to Melatonin, and everything in between.I actually settled about two years ago on Natrol Melatonin 5mg, 60 Tablets (Pack of 3), but hit a point where I was either going to start taking 10mg a night or I needed to find an alternative to give myself a break from the Melatonin. I looked over the reviews from this product, and decided to give it a go!I ran through the first few nights on this without any trouble, but started having some pretty lucid dreams thereafter, so for those that don't appreciate dreaming you might steer clear of this product. As far as the sleep goes though, this managed to knock me down each night about 30 minutes after ingesting, and kept me down for a solid 6 hours - at the recommended dose. That's really standard for a good night of sleep in my arena, so I was happy, and have been happy to use this when I feel I need a break from the Melatonin.Good product. Don't overdo it though, as that gave me a bit of a hang-over feeling the next day - nothing serious though.

Terrible taste, great sleep, pick and choose!
I prefer tinctures made with alcohol as they absorb faster than oil based. But this recipe burns so bad my eyes instantly water and I end up swallowing too quickly to absorb sublingual. I will try to add to tea as it works for sleep. But I don't want to burn my mouth so if it doesn't work drinking then I will have to find something else.

Works great for sleep and mild anxiety
I researched California Poppy in regard to anxiety and trouble sleeping. I was prescribed a mild dose of Xanax to help because I have reoccurring stress dreams all night long that prevent me from getting good sleep. I wasn't comfortable with that so I started checking around and found this. I have been using it for only 1 week but I really notice a difference. I haven't taken the anti anxiety med or melatonin (another failed attempt) and I feel pretty good. I track my sleep with a Jawbone device and this has added at least 2 additional hours of solid sleep to my night. The dreams are lucid but not too crazy and it's a nice break from the usual 'I'm behind on this and it needs to be done now!' dreams. I don't wake up groggy and I can use it throughout the day for general anxiety and It doesn't do anything but take the edge off. I don't even notice that part, I just realize at the end of the day the job seamed easier. I gave some to my husband to try and he had a crazy dream that left him rattled, so it's probably not for everyone but for me it works.

Sweet Dreams
I have been taking 25-40 drops a night before bed and find I am sleeping better through the night. It won't fully knock you out, not that crazy powerful, but it does a good job of relaxing the mind and easing me into sleep, and then keeping me asleep.I have a very painful disese called ankylosing spondylitis that had fused most of my spine together, creating a condition called bamboo spine. This usually wakes me up throughout the night, as my body is so stiff, and pain will set in during the night due to the stiffness. In the few weeks that I have been taking this tincture before bed, I find I am sleeping much better, having deep vivid dreams, and sleeping longer and more sound. This is not my only weapon against the AS disease, but works well with the other therapies I am using (a paleo style first being the most critical)
