Ryka Women's Radiant Plus Walking Shoe

I have several pairs of the RYKA Radiant Plus Walking Shoe. Knowing how often companies discontinue styles, when I saw these on Amazon I bought them in several colors after buying my first pair a couple of years ago and loving them. I have a hard time getting sneakers to fit properly, especially since I have a small foot (size 5). I've found that the RYKA's run small, so I purchased the 5.5 (same as my original pair) and they fit perfectly. I can wear a normal weight sport sock without getting my toes crunched. The memory foam insole conforms to the foot and is very comfortable. The mesh upper keeps the shoe lightweight and the walking sole provides good support and shock absorption for walking. I find the softness and pliability of the mesh upper to be perfect for my feet which tend to swell a little as the day goes on. I like having a pair of black sneakers for black jeans or casual pants, since the white tends to stick out like a sore thumb against dark pants. When I travel, I look for comfortable shoes that will carry me through major airports and give me the energy to do a lot of sightseeing without worrying about sore feet or blisters--these sneakers are perfect for that. One note: I bought these in black, gray and white, and while the gray were also mesh across the toe box, the white have leather going across the top of the foot. I originally wrote reviews for each pair, but in case Amazon only posts this review, I want to mention that the I took off one star for the white pair as the leather across the toe wasn't as comfortable as the mesh and it made the shoes a little heavier.

These are not bad shoes - as I am in the medical field working 8-16 hour days, I go through shoes often. I have gotten a solid couple of months of regular, long-hour wear out of these and they are extremely comfortable. Some of the design and the rubber on the soles is *starting* to peel away (only after a couple months), but the overall fit, comfort level and look is good and they might work for someone who doesn't wear them as rigorously as I do.

AWESOME WALKING SHOE!!! Especially for those who have problems with shin splints!!! I had already ordered compression sleeves for my shin splints and was having to put ice on them every time I walked my puppy dogs. I had a pair of New Balance tennis shoes and they were not supportive enough for the hard pavement. I saw these on Amazon and purchased the black and the grey. Ordered both in the same size, 8 1/2 M. The grey ones were too short for my foot, but the black ones fit perfectly!!! Don't know why, but that's what happened. These are AWESOME!!! I was even able to cancel the order for the compression socks because when I started walking in these, I had no more pain in my shins whatsoever. I was able to send the grey ones back for free and they have already processed the refund to my account!!! Great quality, Great price, and Great customer service!!!

I took a chance, based on reviews, and bought two pairs of these, one in white/mint and one in black/gray. I've been wearing both almost daily for about 6 months. One is for work, where I'm up and down all day and the other for walking/running. I couldn't be happier with the way they fit and feel. Normally tennis shoes hurt the back if my ankle and the top of my foot. These do neither. In fact, the back of them don't roll inward like most shoes and the tongue is so padded. I love that I can put them on in the morning and not be eager to take them off as soon as I walk in the door after work. I will definitely be buying more of these when mine wear out.The only complaint I have is that on the pair I wear to work, small pieces on the bottom have come loose in the edges. Nothing a little super glue can't fix.

I wanted to love these shoes. When I first took them out of the box and put them on they felt amazing. They are very comfortable. They don't put any pressure on my toes and I was relieved because I constantly have issues with ingrown toenails. The shoes are roomy with out feeling as if they are falling off. I walk dogs part time and they are very light and cushiony; very pleasant while working.Fast forward a month and a half. I was scooting around in the chair at my other job today and the bottom of my shoe caught on the rug. I inspected my shoe only to see a large opening between the two bottom layers on the left shoe. As well the treads on the bottom of both sneakers are starting to lift at the corners. *sigh I'm just noticing it today so I'm not even sure when it happened.I give the shoe a 5 for the fit and comfort but a 1 for the construction.

These shoes are simply the most comfortable pair of shoes ever. They support my arches and they provide this crazy weird but amazing support in my heel area. I am a walker, and wearing other sneakers (in the past) I would come home and my left heel would be aching. With these sneakers, I don't have that pain anymore. They really did change my life. The only thing I would say is that the laces are somewhat short. They don't provide much leeway to tie the shoe and they seem, that they don't have a lot of give. Other than that, these shoes are definitely worth it!

I really like these. I have another pair of RYKA that have the air soles, which I prefer, but these are good too. I have wide feet, with a 'broken' big toe joint that healed thicker than my other foot, so I need a 'taller' forefoot, which is hard to find, it seems. Very roomy forefoot. I was also plagued by Plantar Fasciitis at one time. Not anymore. I used to wear Asics running shoes, but I don't think their footbed was thick enough for me. I like this color, goes with jeans, looks more casual, less like a sneaker.
