Fundix 28 cm Low Casserole with Lid 28 Cm Nero e rosso

Oh.....this Spanish casserole dish is amazing, making Tortilla (huge fried omelette basically) usually sticks and burns underneath (using hob and grill) with other pans etc but not on this thing, have cooked many risottos and even some casseroles in this dish - I havent come across anything like it before, maybe because its cast aluminium but the surface characteristics are truly non stick, nothing seems to stick at all.One thing you have to get your head around is that it will attract heat quickly (the handles are cast with the dish so its one piece) and the handles may burn you if you forget, I always have to remind myself to treat it as if its just come out the oven (which you can use this for) and use oven gloves to move it around the hob. There are red rubber handles to use for this purpose, but I've found they get quite hot if left on for longer than 30 secs, I dont think its a good idea to leave them on over a gas hob, so only use them for moving then take them off, they are quite easy to put on so its no hassle, its just a new way of doing things.Its quite heavy really (for what I believe is cast aluminium, it feels like it is cast iron) but not overly heavy and the lid is solid with a SS metal handle so its oven proof. It is dishwasher safe too.I have only ever used this on a gas hob, so I can't say how it performs on electric or halogen hobs, maybe the handles dont get so hot but I'd be sceptical about that.

This casserole works brilliantly on the hob or in the oven - and can be moved between the two with no worries about it overheating, as even its lid can withstand temperatures of up to 250C. Because it is made of cast aluminium rather than cast iron, it is light enough to pick up and carry. The non-stick interior is exactly that - it is seemingly impossible to burn anything onto it and everything can be wiped off it with a damp cloth. We have had cast iron casseroles for many years and have used them to cook many different dishes for our family of five. This casserole is in a different league of practicality, whilst still being big enough and strong enough to do the job. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for a casserole to use either on the hob or in the oven - or both!

A superb product and much easier to handle than my cast iron casserole.

Perfect weight and performance. The detachable rubber handle is tidy but not really necessary if you have oven gloves. Knob on lid collects water so could be improved to be watertight; until then you have to screw-unscrew it every time you wash it, hence the 1 star deduction. Overall I still recommend it.

I had an old version of the pan bought many years ago and it had had its day so decided to buy this version, it looks good, the heat proof handles are a boon as I had to wear oven gloves handling the old one, has a new well sealing lid, one happy cook (now I need to be able to afford the rest of the range}

I love this casserole dish. Everything cooks evenly and nothing sticks. I use it for many things, especially batch cooking. I can do huge paellas and risottos for a group dinner party or to freeze half for another day. I have also used it for fish, fried eggs, chili con carne, the list is endless. The only negative is that I didn't realize that the pan would not fit in my oven, but that's my error not the company's. So, if you're looking for a casserole to go from hob to oven, check the size of your oven first.

Les cocottes Castey sont excellentes. Rien n'attache ni ne colle au fond. Elles se nettoient d'un coup d'éponge avec de l'eau chaude et un peu de liquide vaisselle.

Excelente olla. Distribulle el calor muy bien.La tapa cierra perfectamente y no hay escapes mientras cocinas.Falcil de limpiar y muy buen acabado.Peso comodo para cocinar teniendo en cuenta sus dimensiones.Repetire marca en mi proxima compra.

Hola,la cacerola no es barata, pero merece la pena cada euro que se paga por ella.Ya tenía otra más grande y cuando ha tocado renovar la pequeña de 24cm ni me lo he pensado.Las asas no queman, la puedes meter al horno, el fondo aguanta años sin deteriorarse... En fin que es calidad comprobada.La tapa también se puede meter al horno, y la silicona que sella el borde trae unos pequeños rebajes para la salida del vapor.Además no lo sabia, pero al ver el pequeño catálogo que se incluye en la caja he visto que son de fabricación española, así que un punto más.En resumen, recomiendo la compra 100%.Espero que os sirva mi opinión.
