Very enjoyable tool to have in collection
The media could not be loaded. Pen exceeded my expectations. It is very comfortable to work with, and it is quite versatile. The only thing which I would like to mention, inc goes away very quickly, and it is good practice to buy this pen with 10 refils just to draw without worrying about running out in the middle of work.

but decided to try this one after seeing good reviews on youtube
I'm fairly new to brush pens, but decided to try this one after seeing good reviews on youtube, and growing frustrated with my existing brush-tip pens (faber castell PITT type - which are great, but they have a felt-tip type nib, which i've found eventually gets blunt and fuzzy, ruining the pen's ability to create a thin line.)This is a really great little pen, with its tip made of synthetic bristles instead of the felt-tip nib I'm used to. I would highly recommend practicing if you're new to brush pens, and I found it entirely different to work with than my previous ones - the tip is very soft and flexible, so at first I was putting on way too much pressure and getting thick lines, as I'm used to firmer nibs.On the downside, this thing guzzles ink like there's no tomorrow. My first test drawing I did with it was in an A5 sketchbook, a girl with swirly, flowing patterns around her (which, granted, is lots of lines), and I used a full half of the first cartridge! I've ordered some more, but from now on, I'm going to attempt to refill my cartridges myself, as some research on youtube suggests that it's fairly easy with a printer ink refill syringe and some decent non-clogging ink. Also as a side note, since a few other people mentioned getting ink on themselves - if you happen to get water-based acrylic ink like this on yourself, you can general remove it with rubbing alcohol! Also works on biro and even markers.

Good for sketching en plein air.
This is a brilliant brush pen. The brush part is hard wearing and keeps its point well. I haven't managed to wear one out yet.The pigment ink is completely waterproof when dry but does have a tendency to bleed through paper, so it is a good idea to interleaf a pad with something impervious. The flow is good but will give you a broken line if you use it quickly. The ink itself is not good for very large areas - it is too expensive and dries with a purplish sheen- but is good for sketching and line and wash.It is nicely made and I have never had one that leaks yet.Unless you are accustomed to writing Chinese or Japanese characters this takes a bit of getting used to, hold it vertically and with a light touch for the finest lines and angle your hand towards the surface and increase pressure for a broader stroke. Once you get the hang of it though it gives a really expressive line and I find it good for loosely sketching landscapes.

Excellent
The best brush pen on the market. Excellent variety of mark making, the ink is reasonably long-lasting and the extra cartridges are great.

Amazing pen, expensive upkeep
These pens are loved by many artists and for good reason. The tip, though synthetic, keeps its point and has a very nice springiness to it that allows for a wide range of line thicknesses, and the ink flows very well - not too much, not too little - allowing for lovely flowing lines (however, there are breaks in the lines if the stroke is really fast). The ink provided is a lovely matte black BUT the cartridge doesn't last very long - I used almost half of it for just one drawing and I didn't even use it to fill in large areas of black - and the replacement cartridges are quite expensive. I would recommend it for drawing when you're out and about but stick to the traditional brush and ink in the studio. However, if money is not an issue then the convenience of not having to dip/clean the brush while inking is definitely a huge advantage.

Nice sketching brush
This is a very nice brush pen. It works well and will produce a variety of lines weights. It's main benefit is that it is portable so can be used for sketchbook ink and brush work.I was a little disappointed with the flow of the pen when compared to the traditional sable brush and Indian ink - it is extremely difficult to get smooth flowing lines longer than 10cm without the ink draining from the brush and breaking up . If you're really after the best quality pen and brush work you still can't beat a sable brush with Indian ink - with a well loaded sable brush you can produce beautiful lines over a 100cm +.The pen is fine for sketching, but I'd still recommend using the traditional brush and ink method for finished artworks as it can't compete. The pen still deserves 5 stars because it works well for what it is!

This basically revived my motivation to learn art
I originally bought this at the start of 2024 (not long ago at time of writing) on a whim because I've always been curious about them and while its certainly going to take a long time to get 'good' with it feels so easy to put ink on paper I find myself wanting to doodle more often than before (which admittedly was basically never). The ink seems to last a good amount but as someone not familiar with ink don't take my word for it.
