It works but if I'd payed attention to the specs and it's 4 watts of power I most likely would not have made the purchase. It's hugely disappointing. Most likely great for it's intended use with headphones. But I'm using it with a Bosh Job Site Stereo and it just lacks power. But with CD players going the way of the dinosaurs it doesn't skip or jump around so I'll bump it up to 4.8 stars.

Worked only when plugged in. No matter how many pairs of batteries tried ( with power cable removed as instructed) it simply didn't work. Also, in the instructions it says the volume limit can be disabled.... oh really?, I was unable to find out how to to do that. I suppose I could have called Tech Support to resolve that, but the battery problem forced me to return it.

Very sound and features but it skips - at least the HOTT CD player i received -so I have to send for a replacement which I hope doesn't skip also --

The thing that worries me is it seems flimsy. The lid doesn't open all the way either.

Skips enough that I just turn it off. It will NOT start when you press the start button...needs two, or three boots to get it going. Has no BASS control. Kinda tinny sounding. No, I would not recommend it.

Get what you pay for, volume in & out

The media could not be loaded.  This player is just what I needed and came at just the right time. We got a set of CDs and then we wanted to transfer them all to a MP3 player but didn't have enough memory. My son was really disappointed and then I found this. It's a good old CD player which is hard to find today. I used it with a simple speaker that I had around and my son prefers the headphones which are included. It can work with batteries or with the included plug. It does the job and brings back memories. It's just what I had when I was younger. The price was fair.The power adapter says that it can work from 110v to 240v. My son will be taking it with him on his trip to Europe with a simple travel adapter. My son was so excited to get this. I just had to write this review to express the great feeling and the nostalgia. Finally my son is happy with something that I can relate to.No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't find such a product in any local shops. They have a huge range of all the latest laptops and tablets but nothing that can actually play a simple good old CD disk. That what Amazon is great for, you can find just about anything on Amazon and get it shipped with Amazon prime. Nothing beats that. I can buy my food anywhere but you can't get a CD player anywhere and definitely not for this price.

Not working during SAT language test!!!!!!!Most disks at home are playable in this machine, but it simply couldn't read the SAT disk. Totally ruined the SAT test. Now it's a junk in the tool box. A total waste.Don't expect it will work just because it's one of the most expensive CD players at Amazon. Try cheaper ones instead if you just need this for big language tests. Seriously.
