great value and easy to use system
I recently purchased 2 of these TP6048 6000W inverters to replace and older Schneider Electric grid-tie system. I choose these specific inverters because of the great price and that they can stand alone (with or without battery) or be grid-tied. The price/value totally beat all the other inverters I was researching and most of the cheaper alternatives in this power range do not tie into the grid.Ease of use: This unit is as close to plug and play that you can get. L1, L2, neutral, and ground for each of the “power in (grid)” and the “load out (house main)”. 1 solar connection, 1 battery connection, a set of serial connectors (supplied) and power sharing connectors (supplied), and you are done with hardware! BTW, the serial and power sharing are just needed if you are connecting multiple units together. Note that a single unit supplies 240V native, no setup issues. All the rest of the install is setting up the various settings for batteries, load output, charging, etc. The instructions that came with the units are very straight forward and covered every setup option I needed. The instructions were easy to read and use. I did not connect via the computer-serial connection, but rather went straight to wi-fi. If you have ever setup a smart plug or switch – this is the same procedure. It is also very easy to setup the software via the panel on each unit. The app is not as polished as I would like, but I suspect that it will clean up over time. And the app does work – I can see my units and change setting from anywhere my phone has internet!I reached out to customer support to clarify a few app related questions, and received a clear response within a day.I’ve been running these 2 units for a week and love them. I run my well pump, mini-splits, and the rest of the house on them. I have already ordered a 3rd unit to run in parallel so that I can add my next solar string into the system and up my house power to 18,000 watts.Last note, the listing shows the wrong unit weight - these weigh about 75 pounds each. Much lighter than my last system :)

Unreliable
The media could not be loaded. *** NOT A RECOMMENDED BUY ***I installed it and it worked initially. Setup wasn't that bad. Tech support responds with programming related questions in a reasonable time. However, I purchased the unit and installed it after the 30 day return window, BIG MISTAKE. It started having issues within the first 10 days of installation. After a few days of running 24/7, the unit began to make a loud humming noise (you can hear the humming in the video, but that doesn't really display how loud the hum is "in person". Just to be clear, the first 10 days when the unit ran flawlessly, it ran really quietly with the exception of the internal fans. Fan noise is to be expected with most Inverters so that was not a complaint. I contacted Customer support, sent videos and they said the hum was normal. If it were normal, it would have been humming from day one. After going back and forth with them vial email, they said they would send a replacement transformer in 4 weeks. I wound up having to shut the unit down because on top of the hum, it began to run really hot, over 200 degrees F. I did not want to rely on the units heat sensors to shut it down, so I did it myself. 6 weeks later, I had to email them for a tracking number and of course, they didn't send it out until I sent that email.I got the replacement transformer and replaced it. When I turned the unit back on, it was still humming. Not only did it continue to hum, but the unit shut down and several fault codes came up. I reached out to customer service again, explained the issue, and sent video, and they offered to send me silicone straps to dampen the hum. That does not solve the problem. It only masks it. They also offered to send another mother board. I did not purchase this inverter to become an expert at field repairs for this particular piece of equipment. Unless you're some sort of hobbyist that likes spending money and time troubleshooting and repairing equipment, I strongly suggest you avoid buying this unit. Maybe avoid this manufacturer altogether.

Ez to setup
I have 220 coming in, just in case my 6 kW battery reaches its lower limit. I had 12 240 watts in series for one leg going into the combiner box. I I have the option to upgrade another leg for a total of 6000 watts. From the combiner box, it goes to the inverter., My batteries get charge and two window units are used day and night. eventually, I will add more batteries and I will hook up most of my house appliances. Through a bigger, combiner box.

They are nice units but in my opinion they do not put out a lot of power.
They are nice units but, in my opinion, they do not put out a lot of power. To note the wires on the bottom for the power connections are NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to connect in the small area. The bottom is so tight that it is hours of labor to connect wires that should only take 3 minutes.I have 2 of these and I plan on buying 7 more of these eventually to have 250-amp 220V power from them but I am dreading hooking up the wires in that confined area!
