Winch Solenoid Relay Control contactor Box for 8000-17000lbs Electric ATV UTV Winch 12V

Replaced Lewmar windlass control solenoid (very expensive.) This 20.00 solenoid was close to a direct fit. The only modification I had to make was to the connectors which needed to be slightly larger as the studs on this unit as slightly larger than the lewmar. Not a big deal and saved 100's. Works perfect.

I was surprised. I spliced it into my non wireless remote solenoid nice and easy . Excellent range well past my cable length. Remotes came with a battery.

Easy to install tho if using both wireless and factory wired you’ll need to switch some ends of the wires. Installed into harbor freights 12k winch and has a slot for the receiver built into the control box. Also seliniod is direct replacement for harbor freight winch.

I ordered this to replace the one from a badlands 12000# winch. I received no wiring instructions whatsoever and the #2 gauge wire are almost too short; another 4” would help. I have been working on this wiring issue for 3 afternoons due to the heat with no luck yet. I have to say that I am disappointed in this product and will not be able to recommend it to anyone.My original review was 06-27-2024. This update is on 10-27-2024. I still have not had any type of response from the seller concerning the issues that I have encountered and stated above. No one should ever purchase this product or any other product from this seller due to their shoddy customer service. Amazon should remove this seller from their website. It’s not good for their image either.

The media could not be loaded. Basically no instructions, ended up finding some videos online to help. Install was pretty simple and straightforward after I got all the wires figured out. YOU NEED TO PIGGY BACK THE SMALL BLACK WIRE TO THE BATTERY NEGATIVE to make this unit work as intended, but otherwise it’s a straight forward install, might install a disconnect on the battery 12v line if it drains the battery but will see how it goes

I didn’t get a new box or a long black cable that goes from the winch to battery, not sure if that was a miss or expected, either way I resused my own. It was a serious stretch of the wires for my particular 12000lb Badlands winch from the control box to all the needed hookups, and I mean not a 1/2 inch extra wire to spare. (I mean, nice clean tolerances when finished but dang it’s harder to mess with) The instructions on the product that’s on this webpage is what to use! I went an extra step and made 3 Y-cable adapters from the wireless harness (2M>1F) to accept both the wired and wireless ports to where there was only1 blade that handled both respective sockets on the top of the relay - clean solid connection and so easy to do for my set up. So now I have two wireless AND the wired remote working at my desecration. Maybe my old relay or wires were bad from the start but I could swear this new relay/wires help my winch pull stronger and faster now which is a massive advantage. Today is 6/3/2024. It’s day 1 so I’ll come back and update one day but yeah for now 4.9/5 stars, would definitely recommend.

I bought this to replace a broken remote of the same type. However the remotes are permanently tied to the receiver and cannot be used with a different receiver so I'm changing the receiver too

Instructions are very poor had to return the item do to not working with the which we had. Ended up purchasing new winch
