Great Deterrent - Poor Applicator
The product is great, however the sprayer is getting cheaper every time I buy the product.

Great Product
This is a great product for keeping the rabbits off the flowers. Rabbits tend to go for our lilies and black-eyed Susan plants primarily, so I only treat what they go after. You just have to make sure you spray regularly after heavy rains. The product stinks to high heaven! No rabbit in its right mind is going into that! 😁

Great product! But not in this packaging!
Works perfectly! Keeps the deer and other critters off my hostas and peaches! But don't buy the large jug with the sprayer - the sprayer does not work AT ALL and you end up fighting this super smelly stuff into another spray bottle. NOTE it really stinks - like concentrated bear pee - so if you get it on you, it lingers after multiple washes.

Works amazingly well WHEN USED PROPERLY
1. This product only works when sprayed regularly. If it rains, you have to spray again. If it's sunny, you can go quite awhile (although i still spray every few days just to be safe)2. DO NOT SPRAY any other time than early morning or evening. If you spray mid day, your plants WILL burn.We live in neighborhood where there are A LOT of deer. During my evening walks, I see herds of 20 at a time. They aren't scared of humans and there's so little food for them here that they will eat anything....even the supposedly deer resistant stuff. They decimated my fig trees, my grape vines, raspberry and blackberries, flower garden and star jasmine. Every morning I'd find the same deer in my yard and any new growth would be gone. Since spraying this stuff, I haven't seen them in my yard nor seen them eat anything. My grape vines finally have new growth again. My only regret is not using this stuff sooner before the deer destroyed every attempt I made at having a garden.

Deer not allowed here thanks to Liquid Fence!
Love Liquid Fence and use it religiously from the first of spring to the end of the season to keep deer and rabbits from eating my hostas and other flowers. It does not need new application after rain or watering, but only when there's new growth of plants. I spray in evening when no wind. It smells while spraying (wear old clothes) but dries quickly. Deer jump the fence around my property but liquid fence keeps them from devouring the flowers and new tulips. I highly recommend it to all flower gardeners. (Not to be sprayed on fruit of vegetables but around the perimeter of them) love that 2 gallons could be shipped at less cost than at the store.

very happy
I grow food for the food pantry. Last yr rabbits ate all my beans and some tomatoes and peppers. This yr they started again. The spray bottle leaked like a siv but did spray. I also got a gal jug of it. It's sprayer didn't work at all. BUT what's in them works. 1rst app no more rabbits. So sprayers are crap, but what's in them is great. When I use all the spray bottle will use a dollar spray battle. Oh I have about 100 tomato plants, 14 pepper plants and 2 rows of beans. I feed about 250 people. SO! I don't care about the sprayers as long as the stuff in it works. I will be getting again.

Urine smell attracts coyotes and loose effectiveness near fall
This product works well for most of the year to deter wildlife. I've noticed the closer to winter, when animals begin to sense the need to fatten up, that they will disregard the smell and eat anyways. I make my own spray out of garlic, onions, castile soap, eggs, and cayenne pepper now, but this repellant works great in a pinch. The cost is high if you have a big garden. I used to use it exclusively and for many years which is how I know it stops working as well closer to fall.Another downside is that it attracts coyotes due to the smell being very similar to coyote urine. I have cats so this is was the actual reason I stopped using it entirely. Even though I live in the suburbs where we almost never get coyotes, I used to spot them a lot scoffing around my yard. I have not seen one since I stopped using it.While I find my solution works much better and is cheaper, it comes with it's own downsides. You have to be careful how much cayenne you use in your water solution because too much causes the oil to stick to the plant and burns them. Beans do not like garlic or onions so I just use cayenne dish soap and rotten eggs for them. In the end, the best rule of thumb is that you need to grow enough for both yourself and the wildlife because you will lose some regardless of how diligent you are. However, in my case, they don't usually take a second bite. Conclusions:If you don't have small pets, your garden isn't huge, and you can afford it, this stuff works great through the growing season up until around fall. Even then it still works but not as well.Attracts coyotesCan burn some plants. Beans mainly.

Great product
I used this product all last summer and it works great. Defy keeps the deer and rabbits away from my plants. Deducted a star because 1--the trigger spray gets very tiring and leaks on your hand ( not dangerous but then you smell like the product).2-- It does smell up your yard pretty badly until it dries. 3--it obviously rinses off in the rain, so needs to be reapplied many times. And if you have several days of rain in a row, the deer will find the plants you have been protesting, and demolish them before you can reapply
