Bought for use with drone, works great
I bought this for use with a drone (US) and it does exactly as expected. The built-in antenna seems to be a little weaker than a normal cell phone, but so far this has not been an issue. The relatively low price point of this item makes it easily worth it. I also really like that there is an SD card slot, Huawei seems to be ahead of the curve when it comes to designing user friendly devises. Also note that originally, the Verizon website told me this was not compatible, but that's incorrect (I'm not sure if it's an intentional lie, but that's possible) as they want you to buy their hotspot device for much more money. I haven't tested with other carriers, but I don't have reason to believe it wouldn't work with the others that's it advertised as compatible with.

Do not buy from A1 Global Corp, use IoT Telecom
The A1 Global Corp units had the seal broken, contained a USASim sim card, and had documentation as if it was originally sold in Mexico. The IoT Telecom units were perfect and worked great on 4G with a T-Mobile network.

no modem interfaces and works out of box
the dongle has hilink and will work as an ethernet router over usb with a nice web interface. Works out of box with modern linux and windows. For data connection this is ok. If you need modem interfaces to send sms and make calls, it will be very difficult if not impossible, because the modem interfaces are not there.

absolutely no support for the product!
The product does most things pretty good, but if you're needing SMS texting and toll calling then this is not the product

The Good, Bad, and Overall...
The Good: Plug and play once you insert the SIM. Set up was extremely easy. The Bad: I know they state they don't provide a SIM adapter, but come on... who uses large SIM's anymore. Instructions are in Spanish. Don't know why they didn't default to English instructions on the backside of the Spanish ones. English instructions easily available online.Overall: I had no issue with the 'Broken Seal'. They hacked it so that any SIM will work. Once I'd scrounge up a SIM adapter and glanced at the English instructions it was a breeze. Works well and I'm happy.

AT&T, Signal but "Disconnected" - Set APN
After an hour on the phone with AT&T and no luck. I was able to get this working on my own. I used the SIM from my iPad assuming it had the same type of shared data plan as a data stick would. What solved my problem was setting up a profile.- Connect your stick to your computer.- Wait for your computer to get a local IP address 192.168.0.???- Open a web browser and go to 192.168.0.1 the built in Huawei web portal for the device- You should see signal bars but "Disconnected"- Go to Settings -> Dial-Up -> Profile Management- Create a new profile, name it whatever, use whatever username and password you want- HERE IS THE KEY - APN, for AT&T just type in "broadband"- Click Save/ApplyYou should see that you now have signal and "Connected" appears.Hope this helps save some people some time.

Works great with U.S. Mobile
I bought this stick to use it with raspberry pi, works out of the box. I did a little bit of LTE BAND research before buying this. I downloaded an lte info app to show what bands did my phone use on a daily basis. It turns out that the customer support of U.S. mobile did not actually know what bands that they were operating.. Sooo be careful with that. I also have E3372-153 as well and it doesn't support U.S. bands.

Instructions are not english but its pretty straight forward to use and setup.
Works great in USA - Los Angeles area with a t-mobile MVNO. First speedtest approximately 20 M down and 4M up. Beats the heck out of my garbage DSL.
