The media could not be loaded.  I am on my second unit right now after the first stopped working during my second time brewing with it.The first unit displayed an error code (E2). According to the manual, that meant that the exterior sensors needed to be cleaned, or that the coffee was already brewed enough.The error code came on the second time I used the brewer, so I assumed it had to mean the latter (since I had cleaned it in between brews and knew it wasn’t dirty). The coffee tasted weak, so the third time I went to use it, I stayed and watched it (I had showered and done laundry, etc, during that second brew). It worked for less than ten minutes before coding again. I wiped and dried the sensors thoroughly and tried again - this time with just water and coffee grounds. As soon as the water level rose up to touch the sensors it stopped working immediately and randomly the same code.I checked again to be sure everything was thoroughly cleaned and dried, turned it on, and this time I simply gently touched a drop of water at each of the two exterior sensors. Again, the unit stopped and coded.I returned it for a replacement which I just received. I have run three brews the new unit without problem. Whew!So aside from all that, this is a sleek looking unit. It’s tall and thin, which has both pluses and minuses. The plus is that it takes up very little room on the counter and in the fridge. The minus is that it is too heavy, so I worry about it being knocked over and shatter.Other positives about this unit:1) You can customize the brew strength. A mild brew is ready in 15 minutes, a regular cold brew in 30 minutes, and a strong brew in 45. You can add more minutes in increments 15 as well.2) It has a countdown timer on it.3) it comes with an extra set of screens for the top and bottom of the coffee cup.4) It comes with a charging cord.5) You can use it while it’s charging (it states that you can, though it also states that it recommends waiting until it’s reached 90%).6) it tastes like decent cold brew.Negatives:1) it recommends placing in the coffee grounds in a nut milk bag before placing them in the container in this unit, but neither comes with a bag nor has a link to purchase one made for this.2) it’s a bit fickle to assemble. If you screw the glass containers together even a bit too tightly, the rubber seals bend out and don’t work as well.3) This unit looks pretty large, but it one fills one 24 ounce coffee cup.

Using this thing is easy as can be. The issue I’ve had is knowing just how much coffee I want, and I noticed it’ll run better/without ending the cycle early if it’s fully charged and unplugged.

Had to search the internet as the manual is small with limited info and not well written. Machine has not worked properly from the beginning and such a source of complete frustration. Would have sent back but didn't keep the box it came in.

As a product it works fine at making cold brew. The carafe is flimsy and I broke mine in the sink. ( I bought my unit on Kickstarter, it was $20 cheaper). I contacted the company to try to purchase a replacement carafe but they do not sell them; you have to buy a whole new unit! That's just insane.Basically my advice is to handle it with kid gloves and if you're the slightest bit clumsy get someone else to rinse it off!I was contacted by the company and they will be stocking the replacement carafes in 3 months. This is quite impressive. 15 minutes as opposed to 15 or so hours? Yes please! However, from what I see in the other reviews, it's not hard to break the carafe. But the top reviewer has already gone through the hassle of getting and providing a link for a replacement carafe, I believe. So I'd say that J. Lentz deserves at least three cheers!My only problem with it would be the price. Even though my wife and I work in management positions, we're down to the last dollar to our name every week, wondering how the heck we're going to continue eating... Just like the millions upon millions of the rest of our destroyed middle-class. And so, if I hadn't become fortunate enough to be a reviewer, I probably wouldn't even know this existed. I know everyone's probably tired of hearing that, but what are our people supposed to do, you know? I'm sorry, I'm just so tired of seeing so many of our people work so hard, just toward basic survival... I don't know, maybe I just need a nice cup of cold brewed coffee! Oh yeah! Whooo! 🤪
